Gourmet China Cook

I ordered steamed chicken dumplings. They go nicely with a bit of vinegar. This is usually served as part of the dish. Except here. I had to assertively insist that it would be churlish to refuse me now I have asked for a drop of vinegar. I’ve extracted blood from stones with less effort. The dumplings were appalling anyway. No amount of vinegar could save them.

The staff are friendly, the prices are great and it’s always delicious! Can’t recommend more. Our favourite local Chinese! They don’t do takeaway, but who cares, it’s worth the trip!

The only thing Chinese in this place are the staff. Just another run of the mill takeaway offering the standard bastardised food that uncolutured brits consider Chinese. Its cheap fast and not Chinese by any means. Save your money and get a 'chinese' ready meal because that's all you can expect here. No flavour, xanthan gum thickener, no spice and a funky feeling after you eat it. How this place has such a high rating can only be explained by the type of people that eat here.

Food was good as for the service there was only one call handler but 7 in the kitchen on what was a busy Saturday night at 5pm

Best chinese, generous portions and not expensive.

Been coming here for 25 years and it's going down hill. I've completely stopped eating from here now after being accused of lying about what I Want to eat and embarrassed in front of customers. I ordered one item, so surely I know what I wanted to eat. Poor customer service really put me off coming here

Well, I have been going here for years.
The food quality and the standard hasn't changed. The food is tasty well cooked always fresh and hot. The shop is clean from what you can see from the front area there is a little window you can see into the kitchen and it's also quite clean.
My only fault is there do not do
deliveries. 🥺

First time we have ordered from here and all the dishes ordered were excellent. Surprisingly you can watch you food being cooked via a window into the kitchen. Portion sizes are very good and represents excellent value. Parking can be issue before 7pm otherwise highly recommended. Lastly there can be an issue with some of the more unsightly characters hanging around on the parade.
