Long House Bromley Ltd

I always use Long House and usually the food is fantastic. But my experience this evening has completely changed my perception. I made a large order of nearly £60 and the quality of all food items was extremely poor. Firstly they cooked the ribs in the wrong sauce. Admitted this fault then contested that the same fault was made on another order. The female chef could be heard shouting about this matter. The person on the phone, then handed of to the female chef who shouted at me continuously telling me that she only made a mistake on the ribs and not the prawns (never mind the fact that the rest of the room was poorly made). We asked that the food be replaced and they could take back the wrong order. The woman proceeded to shout and tell me that she would not take my order again, despite the fact that we were courteous to her. I had to repeatedly ask the woman to stop shouting but to no avail. We received the correct order in the end but again, poorly made; covered in grease and oil. I will not order from here again. Very disappointed.

Update... Still great food and staff..prices most competitive but only one minor problem.. since the end of February they have been short staffed and the waiting time has increased

Really great local chinese takeaway, great menu with clearly marked allergens that makes ordering as a vegan really easy. The quality of the food is excellent

This is my local t/a. It does a good selection of Chinese dishes with a few Malay and Thai additions. Prices are reasonable and service is usually quick, except Friday and Saturday when they are very busy. I have been using them for a long time and never had any complaints (unless you count asking for Singapore noodles without chilli, but still getting it VERY spicy). When it is not busy, you can usually park outside, otherwise try around the corner in Plaistow Grove.

Awful just awful terrible service. Bad food. Avoid at all costs. 1 star is too generous.

Been living in Bromley for 30yrs and first timer to this great takeaway. Food was very tasty and being a Malaysian born person the Malaysian style Chow Mein was very authentic. Wonder if the chef is Malaysian ? We are looking forward to trying the other Malaysian dishes. Will now be our go to place for Chinese/Malaysian/ Thai food. Thank you Long House 👍👍👍👍👍

Lovely, lovely takeaway. We used to order from Long House most weekends but moved away, we are now back in the area and went to try it again. Happy to report that standard is still high and food is delicious. Gets super super busy which is always a good sign! Thank you Long House and keep up the great work.

The food here is really nice, it’s so nice you crave it once you have it for the 1st time. It’s a 5 star for food, and I had been using them for over 5 years, however the service isn’t on point, during these unprecedented times they still were not allowing payment by card for people shielding over the phone and have today advised that they can’t accommodate allergies as mistakes may be made due to human error - like a disclaimer. I think that’s very serious based on how allergies can be. Unfortunately I will never be able to use them again, it you have no allergies though it’s definitely worth going too. Can’t help but think I was told that because I was paying by card though - (feeling disappointed)

Thanks for the update - however I didn’t order from you, I couldn’t, as you guys advised you couldn’t accommodate allergies and ordering is at my own risk. Great to hear you spoke to your colleague not sure how that helps though
