New China Town

We ordered food at 7pm and they stated it would take 1 hr. When we contacted the restaurant they said the food was being prepared. We then were told it would be with us soon. We got a message from just eat saying there was a delay and the food would be 1hr. 1 1/2hrs passed and no food had arrived and the restaurant won't answer the phone. I can't even say how the food was as it never arrived. The staff on the phone were not helpful and just apologised saying there was nothing they could do about it. Poor service from a reputable restaurant. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Food is good but the waiting times are absolutely ridiculous!! I've ordered 6 times with them and every single time my order was 2 HOURS LATE!!!
There are so many other places that do as good quality Chinese food and don't take as long!!

Our recent order from New China Town has been a massive disappointment after using this takeaway for about 10 years with no issues. On Just Eat, I asked for 2 MILD curries via checkout as we cannot tolerate heat (it's not an allergy, but a preference as we don't like hot food) we asked for one chicken, one beef and egg fried rice for each meal, we've ordered this lots of times in the past from here with no problems whatsoever. What we received was inedible and far too hot for us to eat, I called to complain and was asked to return the food to the delivery driver and a new complete order will be sent out. No problem, I gave the food back and what we received as a replacement were literally just 2 Curries (just sauce and meat no rice whatsoever, who has sauce with no rice for a meal?) my father called the restaurant this time and told the woman on the phone that we had just received only the Curry sauce and meat, where was the rice? and can she please put this right for us? To be told a firm NO, not our problem and put the phone down on him. Lovely service, you have just lost 3 loyal customers.... You have now gone from a 5* review to a measly 1* review... Very poor indeed, we will be looking elsewhere for a decent Chinese Takeaway.. Avoid like the plague 0/10.

UPDATE: This is now in the process of being refunded in full by Just Eat Customer Services - it's disgusting that this takeaway feels it's acceptable to charge full price for an incomplete order, knowing full well the customers were left dissatisfied (original order was inedible) with half a meal as a replacement (takeaway agreed to replace the whole order and all that was replaced was literally 2 containers of curry sauce one beef one chicken, no rice whatsoever) and out of pocket (£23.20 for 2 containers of curry sauce and meats? Lol) There was no attempt to resolve this dispute by the takeaway despite it being no fault of ours. Non existent Customer Care, had to chase up with Just Eat. Don't use this place, nothing more than barbarians 0/10.

Great experience and very tasty. I would recommend to anyone local to try. Small family owned business loved my meal

I have been ordering from here for years now. In my opinion, its the best in town. Food is always delivered on time (if not sooner) . Food is always hot and fresh, delivery drivers are always really nice.

Staff seem to be very nice, but I had to admit, the prices have gone up a lot in the past year or two.

Quick delivery, 15 mins from order to door, now that's impressive these days. However you could tell it was a rushed order, quality wasn't there, bland and boring. Shame really as there is only one decent Chinese in Dover and that is New Kong Sing on Folkestone Rd. Competition solved.

Ordered at 6:30pm with a delivery time of 7:30pm, food doesn't arrive and get 5 consecutive messages spread apart through the next hour and finally gets delivered at 9pm after several calls to chase them being told they're very busy. 2.5 hrs for delivery is a complete failure and the worst delivery service I've ever seen. Won't be using this shop again via just eat its the 3rd occasion of having delays with delivery. EXTREMELY POOR!
