Jasmine Rice

I ordered from here as it had 4 star rating. Food delivered very fast and delivery person was extremely polite and pleasant.
However, fried mushrooms were disgusting, crispy shredded chicken was chicken sticks in batter. Also disgusting. Sweet chilli sauce was awful. Just sugar liquid. Banana and chocolate fritters were greasy and vile. Will never spend money at this takeaway. So disappointing 😞

Best Chinese Takeaway in Newport sweet and Sour always great beef always cooked well will always keep going back.

Never again food was so bad could not even eat it

Fresh, Fast & Hot. Had 2 boxes and all the items in them were lush. Free spring rolls & prawn crackers along with massive portions.

Really nice food. Great service and customer service skills.

Sorry to say, because we've been ordering there for years and found them very good, but they've been appalling lately. Loads of missed items, wrong items, that kind of thing but we've taken it in good humour out of loyalty, sometimes not even mentioning it. But the other day they sent out duck with mushrooms instead of duck in plum sauce, and when we phoned to ask for the right item, the lady rudely insisted that they'd sent duck with plum sauce. I felt like I was through to a lunatic asylum, I'm sat there looking at this duck with mushrooms and she's saying "No! That's right! Duck with plum!" And I'm saying "but it's NOT duck with plum, there is no plum, only mushrooms" She wouldn't accept it. So I had to say "Well okay then. We will never order from you again." And we won't. Terrible way to treat loyal customers.

My husband and I are new residents to Newport, and haven’t had a nice Chinese meal since leaving Canada. We read the reviews for Jasmine Rice and decided to give it a try. I am not exaggerating when I say, the food from this restaurant was absolutely amazing! We ordered a few dishes to share between us and we still had some leftovers for Sunday lunch. Along with substantial portions, the sauces were not overly sweet but very well seasoned with just a nice tang that compliments the chicken, or beef. We will definitely return to Jasmine Rice for delivery and look forward to eating in the restaurant when COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

Sorry to say despite reviews the food we received was well below expectation. Chips were hard and looked like cheap frozen chips Curry sauce was watery and rice dish and chow mein dish were both really bland and squishy soft. Certainly not worth the price and lady at till wasnt very friendly either. Wouldn't recommend and wont be going back.
