Really lovely classic-style clothes in pretty colours and some nice gift items too. There's even some cute things for dogs! You have look out for this one as it's not on the high street. But well worth a visit!

I ordered three pieces with express delivery. Two items were sent on time but the other too late. One of the skirts had buttons running down it which hung wonky leaving it unwearable. I sent the skirt along with another item back almost a month ago and have still not received any confirmation of a refund.

I bought clothes online from Madia and Matilda for the first time recently, and the clothes are beautiful. The customer service was also very good. Happy customer, I’ll be using again ☺️

Genuinely, it feels awful to be posting a negative review, particularly about a sustainable company. However, they have not responded to my comments privately, so a public review it is - I believe they are a terrible example of the sustainable clothing industry and truly need to get themselves sorted.

I have found them incompetent at best, dishonest at worst. The item I ordered didn't arrive when expected - no reply to initial email, and when I called to chase it up I was told that there had been a mix up with the manufacturer several days earlier, which I had not been informed of. We agreed that as soon as the correct item arrived with them they would post it on immediately, which they did, and we also agreed that if the item was not suitable for the event it was intended for, they would pay for the return postage, as a gesture for the trouble caused. The item then arrived and it was not suitable, so I paid for the return and sent them a copy of the receipt, requesting a refund for both the item and the return postage. I had an email notification on April 23rd that they had received the return, but no refund. I emailed a couple of times, with an eventual reply on May 8th, stating that I would be refunded by the end of the following week. That's quite a delay, but I accepted it and waited. At the end of the following week, no refund. So I sent another couple of emails with no reply, before resorting to informing them on May 24th that I would be looking into reporting the company and starting a small claims procedure. Within 30 minutes of that last email I had a refund for the item only. I have since requested a refund for the return postage, and have again been ignored. Incompetent & unreliable.

Update: Since writing the above I have received a refund for the postage. Not a peep about my comments on their practices, no explanation, nothing about how they might work to improve. Very disappointing.

Update: I have now had a reply and some explanation from them. I've advised that they update their policies so that customers know what to expect. Best wishes to the company, I hope they are sincere, and I hope they improve and grow.

Went in to Madia & Matilda for some alterations. The job was done really well - I was really chuffed with the results. Highly recommend!

Allow a couple of weeks for repairs because this little company is always busy but they are definitely worth the wait! Very happy with the quality of work on my 2 pairs of re-stitched jeans. Also they have a good range of clothes online. Shalize was very helpful and when my pair of newly purchased trousers didn't fit she allowed me to swap free of charge. Will be using again, great quality repair work and great company ethics!

Had a little wait but it was worth it for the quality! Shalize has also been great - providing me with a replacement shirt when one I ordered was unavailable. The clothes I've worn so far have been comfortable and very good quality. Looking forward to shopping here again one day!

Excellent service and high-quality clothes. Would recommend for those who want an ethical brand.
