The Ladybird Bar (Cocktail Bar & Club)

Went for drinks with a special friend last night, the cocktails were AMAZING and the staff were very courteous and had great vibes! Perfect spot for a late night catch up - Huge thank you for our discount cards we will definitely be coming back for some more Caipirinha's :)

The weekend just gone I hosted my 30th in the basement space of The Ladybird Bar.

Initially I was apprehensive of how the night would turn out based on some of the previous comments on this feed.

However rest assured, I can honestly say that we had no such problems. We all had an exceptionally great night!

The security staff were polite, helpful and in good spirits.
The manager was tentative to our every request, despite running the main bar and looking after us in the basement at the same time.
The owner was also friendly, welcoming and even lined up some shots for a couple of us at the end of the party to thank us for being such good guests.

As for the venue..
The sound system was great, the UV wall, lights and styling of the basement was also wicked.
Even the retro console got loads of use by the guests, who have all informed me they had a great time too.

All in all, Habib, Alvaro and the security team were great and I'd highly recommend hiring the basement bar for similar functions.

Nice little bar which I’ve seemed to constantly walk right past in Angel.

Great cocktails and decor. Love the little quotes in the menu. We were there early evening for drinks on a weekday so wasn’t too busy but pretty sure it gets nice and busy for the weekends and after dinner hours.

Happy to return again.

Last night I was charged £27 for a beer, a shot and a Southern Comfort & Lemonade.
Plus your bartender tried to shortchange me a tenner.
Please explain your price structure and why bartenders need to try and rob people. It was very obvious she expected me to not notice and even tried to reason her way out of it like I was stupid.

The cocktails in this place were incredibly good, I tried a fee different ones and they were all great. The place is not too big, but it's nice inside. We were in a private room in the basement for a birthday party, with private dj, which was a lot of fun.

Adriana head the best cocktails recommendations, and they were AMAZING. Thank you for great service. We will be back very soon.

Avoid.
Cocktails are bad. Dirty glasses, ingredients eyeballed and cheapo juice straight from the tetrabik. I could forgive all that if they were any good, but the two we tried were something I could've come up with myself. Definitely not worth £12 each.
Also, they have 2 x £12 happy hour ANY COCKTAIL. Time to pay, it was £24, because according to them is only if the two cocktails are the same, but that's not written anywhere.
If you want something drinkable go to Be at One down the street.

If you are on your own apparently it's company policy to refuse entry.
Also, they will only let groups in if there are more women than men.
Archaic and ridiculous.
