The Store, Croydon

Food was quite nice but it’s a little expensive. The service was lacking but it was a Sunday afternoon so no big deal really. We did have a waiter come over who must of just started towards the end of the meal he was much more attentive. Would go back again to try the rest of the menu as the food was nice!

Visited for a bottomless brunch with a friend and it was a fun day 🥂

Ordered the Chicken & Waffles. It was ok but I’m not a fan of hot sauce & wish I had the choice to swap this out for maple syrup instead. Unfortunately, this meal didn’t stay down, as it didn’t agree with my stomach and the bubbles.

The truffle & Parmesan fries saved this restaurant; crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect.

Opted for the bottomless bubbles option & loved it! You’re given unlimited glasses of Prosecco for 90mins and a platter of mixers (peach purée, orange juice, raspberry liqueur, blackberry liqueur, a pot of raspberries & a pot of strawberries). Excellent idea!

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were also doting on us so we were never without a fresh glass of bubbles during our 90 minutes reservation.

We had the best date night here. Our first night out since having a baby and was the perfect mix of relaxed and fancy. We felt so welcome with our baby and even managed a cocktail or two! Our waiter Georgia couldn't do enough for us and made the evening so special! Really recommend!!

We had the best time ever at The Store!! This place is so beautiful and all staff super attentive with a great knowledge. It was our first visit as been recommended by family close friends and definitely coming back. We both had Duck that was outstanding quality and flavours. Cocktails were delicious and super classy at this place. Service was quick, but never felt rushed. Thank you all who looked after us!

Went here for the first time for a roast after hearing nothing but good things.
Was seating promptly however the restaurant was half empty and we were seated right by the front door which kept us cold at times.
Service was good, ordered in a good timely fashion and food arrived quickly.

THE FOOD
I ordered lamb, it was nice - fatty in some areas if I’m critical. Potatoes were LOVELY but not as crispy as we thought. Veg was nice and gravy was tasty although abit salty.
My biggest downfall for this roast was the Yorkshire puddings. Unfortunately they were not the classic homemade, odd shaped ones you’d expect. Instead, very Aunt Bessie like.

I have eaten here a few times and the food and atmosphere is always good. They do lovely french toast and brunch in general and the dinners are tasty, especially the scallops. They just need to work on the continuity of their service, sometimes it's great and this time painfully slow service. Once they sort this they will be 5 star worthy! 🙂

Hot desk friday at the store. Bottomless coffee and snacks :) I liked sharing the space with other people working out there. In these times of working from home its nice to take a break from home and go sit and work from cafe. I am glad Croydon has such place for us.

My family and l visited for brunch 11/06/21. Steak, scrambled eggs and bread. The steak was not well done and scrambled eggs were wet. I asked for the eggs to be dry and it was perfect. Thanks Chef.The cocktails were very nice. The seating was very comfortable and a lot of people were in there on their laptops. The seating was very relaxing. One person brought their dog. The inside decoration was dull with lots of plants.
