I took a few friends of mine for afternoon tea and it was so good! One of my friends is vegan and the staff went above and beyond to cater for her, she had her own separate sandwiches and cakes and was offered alternatives to everything without have to ask. I will definitely be returning when I'm next in Maldon. The sandwiches were great and the selection of cakes was amazing, it was a lovely set up and the staff were very attentive. 10/10 would recommend!

Very welcoming staff, a delicious menu that caters for all and lovely tasting food. We have tried Bakehouse Chelmsford and the Maldon branch didn't disappoint. Perfect for family outings too! We will be returning!

A second lunchtime visit which won't be the last. Great service and good food in excellent portions. All finished off with coffee and cake from a large selection.
Easy free parking makes it a good lunch stop in Maldon. Go on try it. 👍😊

Very nice venue for coffee and lunch. Good selection of sandwiches, paninnies, wraps, jackets etc as well as teas and coffees. Oh and cakes too.

There is also a breakfast menu available before 11:30.

On site also are bars, children's play areas, 10 pin bowling and roller skating. Also nearby is the town swimming pool, Maldon Town football ground and the Riverside promenade Park.

Really nice coffee shop restaurant. Great breakfast menu, good coffee and friendly service. I had the truffle brunch with granary toast, the ingredients are local and really good quality, loved the bubble and squeak and black pudding 😋 the homemade jam and marmalade are delicious also.Would definitely recommend.

Lovely coffee and a fab selection of sweet treats to choose from! Staff were really friendly and incredibly accommodating. A great place to meet friends for a catch up. Highly recommend a visit to the Bakehouse.

Visited the Bakehouse near Ongar and it was amazing. So decided to try their sister cafe in Maldon. Shouldn't have bothered. The food wasn't great. The sausages were cheap and awful. Definitely be sticking to the bakehouse near Ongar!
