Nice little cafe.

It was recommended on a local Facebook group a few weeks ago, and so I thought that next time I’m up for a full English I’ll make sure I’ll pop down there to check it out. After having 5 pints last night on the hottest day of the year so far, this morning that full English was calling me, so a pop dahn there I did.

Nice size breakfast and plenty of beans which I always like, even the bread was lovely and fresh, and not many cafes do that. There’s normally a tinge of ‘just on the turn’ when it comes to bread normally sometimes, and bordering on the staleness of my mate Pete’s jokes. But not here. Lovely and soft and ready to soak up all the remaining juices from the bean fest of a breakfast. I mean look at my plate. It wasn’t quite Nicolas Cage and Gone In 60 Seconds, but it was close, closer than a night in Benidorm.

It did feel like I was abroad a bit, and this was accentuated by the building works going on along the way.

Lovely service, lovely staff and well worth that £8.50

Excellent quick service by smiling, deft and polite staff. Food and plate were piping hot, almost overflowing with a full English breakfast albeit at the start of lunch hour! Plenty of room for my quiet pet dog on the shaded verandah. Just over £10 with toast and tea. Would go again

A secret greasy spoon hidden in the backroads of the local industrial estate. Very traditional menu including black pudding and, bubble and squeak. I was a bit confused about where the brown sauce was - as they have it dispensed into mustard bottles on the tables. I think they ran out of the brown bottles. Looks like all the tables and chairs are brand new and they have a delightful veranda for alfresco dining. They also have free wifi with XLN.

After covid;
New staff at front of house.
Really awful and bland typical English big breakfast food.
It took 20 mins to make a cheese toasty for £3.50.
Imagine if they had staff that spoke nicely or understood what you order.
The best bit is if you add anything to the order, the waitress runs back to another staff member and raises the price.
Not value for money, just an awkward eat here if you can because there nowhere else to go kind of place.
Also super over priced for what you get.

Before covid;
Lovely customer service, accepts card, very clean. Just a good old fashion cafe, that opens about 8am closes about 3pm. Freshly made. This is a 1/2 pounder cheese burger and chips for £6.30. Just overall really polite and great food. Also had the king burger and chips and a coffee. Great service, super polite and nice.
Sadly the front lady provides quite boring, tired customer service. 1 grilled chicken burger is £5. Better priced food is elsewhere.
