Really great service. Lovely atmosphere and fab seating but the cake was so bad!! I hate to give this place a lower score, but I love redvelvet cake and this was really bad the texture, the taste, the lot. The tea was glorious though 😊 and they sell Yorkshire tea too!!

Love coming here for a coffee on a Sunday morning. Great coffee, delicious sandwiches and cake, and cosy seating. The folks running this place are top notch at service. Particularly, recommend the hot chocolate here!

Had a coffee in lovely surroundings. Books from floor to ceiling. Coffee was really nice. My husband had his usual cake with his coffee. We were there at a quiet time but then again never found it noisy there.

Go take your newly purchased book and relax with a great cup of tea or coffee, and a slice of cake or a scone. You won't regret it.

Visited this cafe yesterday 10th October, the older man serving spilt coffee all over my new jumper, did not apologise, fortunately a nice young man working there came up & gave me cleaner & j cloth, my friend & I had last sandwich between us, was supposed to be a BLT but no bacon, the lettuce was damp & limp & was hard job to spot the tomato, no toasties or rolls or anything else left, other than cakes, very poor all round, was not offered free coffee, for all the stains down my jumper, will not be visiting again!

Unfortunately they were closing in 15 minutes and wouldn't serve hot soup because the microwave had been turned off. That would have been almost understandable if we had all been kicked at after 15 minutes. My wife and daughter took longer than 15 minutes to eat than I would have done with my soup. Just think the urge to shut down and clean up takes over from the cutomer and service. So on this occassion it was nothing special and I wont go back near closing time to here.

Very nice café with amazing staff, both adult and child friendly. A very nice selection of drinks and a great cake selection.
