Costcutter - Barrow Road, Sileby

Very much a convenience store. Although some prices are a little extortionate when buying any meat as well as the normal staples eg. Bag of sugar is £2.
The best part about the store is they stock incredible handmade Naan breads!

I have been using this Costcutters for many years and to be fair its a good little shop. The staff are always helpful and always busy and this includes the large amount of youngsters that work there. Some kids of today just can't be bothered but the ones that work here are keen and eager to do the job and help each other out. There is always fresh fruit and veg and the deli counter just leaves you amazed at what to buy. A large selection from the fridges is also brilliant and a tremendous selection of beers, Ciders and spirits.

So all in all a great place to shop but about a year ago something changed. The manager moved on and another company came in. The new management, well the ones you see on the shop floor are the same but who ever is above them has changed something which is just no right. This is not having ago at those working there but those above them.

They have come in and had a new counter, great you might think but no, not great. They have lost half the counter so no room to load your bag. The prices have gone up to. Now I know things are going up but these are going well up.

So yeah it's a good little shop but after the new management its not as good as it was.

Update: they are no longer selling these at the supermarket. Hard times. :(

The biggest and best cheese salad cobs around! Food so good it made me want to leave a review based on this one small aspect of this store. Huge, well-filled and tasty. Reasonably priced for what you get - Give me two of these instead of a footlong subway any day!

Walking into the store the other day for some shopping. Floors were sticky and the store stunk of rotten vegtables/meats. The store workers are naive and not ver responsive. I wouldn't reccomend for a daily shop due to prices however it can be convenient. Store manager stunk of booze during the afternoon. There are obvious signs of poor hygiene where the deli staff did not handle foods with gloves!!!

Great deli, lovely crust cobs, own butchers, quality produce and a good selection of all items. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely brilliant little shop , I go there quite alot to get some pastries after school which are absolutely delicious , they have a great selection of all things with alot of products on sale quite regularly . The staff are quite friendly and i would recommend going there for some cobs or delicatessen and they are very cheap (19p cob) and also very good quality.

Fingers crossed it'll become the great shop it was again, but there's a way to go.

Crazy Co-op prices.
No more that pleasing 'well that was less than I expected' at the checkout. More ' need to go to the superstore more often'.
Really nice staff.
Really bad owners.

Excellent products and the customer service in particular is above and beyond.
The tall slim assistant manager is really helpful whenever I shop in this store, nothing is too much trouble for him and his contribution to his company is phenomenal.
I sincerely recommend shopping at this place, as all the produce is very good quality.
