SPAR - Hope

I've just waited in the Post Office queue here to be summarily ignored and queue jumped by another customer wanting his bloody lottery tickets checked! Should have challenged both the members of staff involved, but as I'd already waited for several minutes, I'd likely have said something I may regret, so will post this here then report both members of staff to their employer.

The manager was amazing. Provided us with stirrers when we were desperate for skewers. Best Spar in the country!

Not sure how this shop amassed some negative reviews as we found staff very friendly and there was a good availability of products throughout the bank holiday.

The ladies are super and over worked. They deserve better than the manager who told me this morning that it “wouldn’t do me any harm to wait “ in a queue of 4 people whilst he was filling up sandwiches. He was most put out when I asked him to serve. Customers

Very useful when staying in the area. Has everything you need, open most of day. Friendly staff. Might cost a bit more than a supermarket but saves going all the way to Buxton and wasting petrol.

Visited the shop today for a couple of basic items only.
The gentleman serving at the counter was not a bit friendly, ( we are clearly not locals as wearing walking gear and carrying rucksacks)
In actually fact I would say bordering on being quite rude.
No matter what a customer buys it is good manners to at least say Thank you.
He never spoke 1 word other than the amount required.
I would not be so keen to shop there again.

Absolutely ridiculous pricing.
I know basic cost of living has increased but this shop is nothing short of a rip off.

The most extortionate convenient store you will ever set foot in £3.50 for a basic cheese and pickle sandwich
