Really disappointed that when trying to post something at 6:45pm that neither members of staff are trained to use the postoffice. How, when i work from 7am to 6pm am I supposed to get anything sent if your staff aren't trained.

Really long opening hours, great to go to when all the main shops are closed. The post office is located in the back

Third time I've been here to post a parcel and I'm told 'We're not doing that today'. I ask why: 'No one is trained to do that that is working here'. Not once, not twice - three times!

Some staff are really really nice but others just look miserable like they don’t want to be there, most food out of date, shopping else where now

My local Mccolls is perfectly acceptable except I rarely now go as to when it was the Co-op. The long serving staff are not as happy, the stock less diverse and lower quality. Some kind, locally respected staff have gone. However the staff are still nice though management seems more intimidatory.
So this brings me to my real gripe. It is with Mccolls as a company.

I drive all over SW England and I normally go somewhere else rather than Mccolls. It is a horrible shop chain. They appear to be a poor employer too though perhaps improving.

The service for depositing money outside of banking and Post Office hours is very useful for the plethora of small businesses in the area. The staff too are more than willing to do it.

Foods always out of date or has one days date, fridges are always warm, the set up for covid is non exsistin, even the staff barge pass you down the 1.2m wide Isles, low fresh food standards, especially the meat.

Great, reasonable stock, reasonable prices, some daily bargains, really friendly staff.
