Good sized for a local convenience store right in centre of village. Open plan and more expensive items than main store. Perishables often low in stock, can be long queues at tobac counter when main checkouts unmanned which is quite common. Reasonable amount of free parking

Had to wait at the self service for a 6 minutes until a memeber of staff (manager) removed a item from the person who decided to walk off and didn’t want it. Then I had to wait 11 minutes more after for a staff memeber to accept my drink for the age. No apology was given for the wait. I wouldn’t have minded if I they didn’t keep looking over at me while I waited and didn’t even come over to me until I was putting the stuff back into the basket to walk off.

Always friendly service and well stocked for a smaller store.

Most of the staff are very helpful but there appears to be no real organised management here but store management let the side down. The male manager who’s supposed to be in overall charge of the store hasn’t got a clue. You can tell that just by the state of the car park alone and he seems disinterested in sorting it out (which would take all of 30 minutes, a broom & 2 bin bags). What’s most concerning is he doesn’t even see what the issue is and why it’s unacceptable to have a car park full of litter. My view is that Billingshurst store gives a very poor impression of Sainsbury’s as a company and they need some serious rethink on the management strategy. Just need to put in a strong manager with a good deputy and it would be fine but on talking to locals, it’s been like this for years (I’ve only recently moved here).

Since launching '600 more lines' in the store, it seems that they run out of stock far more quickly, especially in fruit and veg section, toiletries and ready meals, not an improvement and I now try to shop in bigger stores less often. Used to be a great local store but increasing the lines has ruined it. Only good thing about it is the staff, who are wonderful

Not much selection, half the stock was gone. All overpriced. When I asked the security guard where the chillies were, he told me I do not know and told us to leave the premises for no reason. He was very rude, would rather walk to Tesco.

Pointless trying to shop here. Lack the basic things and massive gaps on shelves. Last 3 times I've been I have ended up going to tesco express or sainsbury in Pulborough. Has to be the worst stocked shop I've been to. Couple that with getting stalked by the local security chap when walking up abd down trying to find something makes for a really bad experience at this branch.
