Consider this a combined review for the park and the Worth Way bridleway. Its always nice to have a little bit of countryside so close and accessible from the town but it will get very busy at weekends. On a Sunday you will encounter lots of runners and cyclists (the latter of which don't seem to care about sharing a path despite all the signs asking them to slow down) and also the occasional horserider. It's a pleasent walk which can branch off at certain parts and is not too hilly or steep. Overall its nice but if you want a peaceful, quiet walk it's best to avoid at weekends.

I regularly go here in my spare time to relax and bring myself back down to earth if I'm not feeling great ,the at Nicholas church there is very very relaxing the whole vibe when you sit down in the church when it's just you is amazing

Love this place. Peaceful and plenty of off shoots that takes you into the weald. Fantastic views across the countryside and great for wildlife. Recent bird sightings include Quail, Raven, Buzzards, Hobby's along with the normal birds pending the time of year. Can get busy sometimes with cyclists, runners, horses etc. Lots of history such as the watering stop for the old steam engines in the field near the first farm you come across at worth. Rowfant station and the embankments past crawley down covered in rare ferns. Walk all the way to East Grinstead and get the bus back or walk back. Great little bistro restaurant at Crawley Down, or venture off to find some.nice pubs and circular walks off the track.

Very nice to cycle. But biggest problem is dog owners only a minority. Please keep dog. Under control. Not running loose. It's supposed to be a shared amenity. Thanks.

If you park near worth church and follow the bridle way/public footpath, it is a 3 mile walk to Crawley down and 7 miles to East Grinstead. Its pretty much flat ground the whole way, need to cross a couple of main roads to continue on the route. Wear walking boots or wellies, nothing you don't want to get messy. First time we did this route and loved it, our dog was able to roam off lead majority of the time. No dog waste bins along the route so have to carry until back where you parked.
Half way to Crawley down there was a timber yard place advertising dog friendly cafe. We made it to the parade of shops then turned back round. Will review again when we do the full 7 miles and back!

Visited to meet family and it appeared to be a good half way meet between London and Brighton. Nice place to walk, but sadly not as dog friendly as reviews indicated. Lots of joggers, horses and bicycles. In addition The Way past fields of cattle and sheep with fences which alas weren't dog proof. We met lots of other dog walkers, but it wasn't a suitable venue to let the family dogs off lead for a fun walk and that appeared to be the approach of most dog people we meet, lead walking.
