We were able to secure the key to have a look inside this old church. Artifacts inside and old monuments. The church is not in regular use but is a historic place. Locals were able to give us more information and insight. Graves in a small chuchyard reflect local history many headstones damaged or fallen over. Take care in the event of one falling.

Lovely little quiet village and church,if it's closed ask at the Cross keys pub across the road for entry into the church

Beautiful old church, the whole of old village is beautiful with great walks around Douglas estate and lake. If you love tranquility this is the place to be

Very poignant graveyard dating back over 200 years. Oh how it must have been a hard life back then.

Amazing historical landmark that’s unfortunately too dangerous to enter.

St Bride’s a a gorgeous little church. Currently sealed off due to repair works being carried out by Historic Environment Scotland, it houses the tomb’s of the Douglas family (one of Scotland’s most prominent families; which includes the Dukes of Hamilton, Buccleuch, and Abercorn in their ranks). Also in the kirkyard is a Covenanter Memorial.
Oh how it must have been a hard life back then.
