Great little cafe/deli the food is great, I had a slice of fruit cake with a wedge of Wendsleydale cheese. The cake not only was excellent, but the size was unbelievable. Yorkshire portions tend to be large but this was huge, with two slices of cheese that must have been 22mm thick each - shall we say I was impressed. The service and staff were great, I would definitely recommend this cafe and would be happy to call again.

Beautiful scone with butter, jam and clotted cream. Served with hot tea in a pot big enough for 2 of us to have 3 generous cups. Good value and lovely staff. Will return for sure

If you visit Thirsk this is the place to eat. People eat with their eyes and the presentation of the Sandwiches and sausage rolls makes you want to eat there. Loved it in there, pleasant staff, great food, a good sized tea for two, clean toilets and overall best place in Thirsk.

I organised a baby shower party with Emily the owner who is amazing, so welcoming! We had use of all the front room which we could decorate, beautiful food provided and wonderful selection of gluten free food also! The room was set up beautifully! Thank you Emily and the team

Just been into the shop and bought a lovely quiche and a fruit scone. The quiche as usual was good. However.....the scone was defiantly not todays. Either it had been defrosted or was yesterdays but it was stale . Not their usual standards

The idea of the business is amazing, with a delicatessen downstairs and a cafe upstairs, really enjoyed the food it was nice to see that the salad had been dressed (playing to the foodie within me). Would totally recommend for people visiting Thirsk, but it is definitely a small cafe.

Since moving away from Thirsk I visit 2/3 times a year. Breakfast here is/has always been something to look forward to.

The last two times have been pretty bad, earlier in the year I complained that my sausage was tough. The waitress said they weren't cooked fresh and it may not even have been today's.

Today's visit, I was beckoned to choose a table. And then ignored. No menu, no drink order. I was watching other people be shown to their tables, given menus and then asked what drinks they'd like.

Yes - I could have got up and asked for service.

Instead I went to another cafe in the square and that's what I'll be doing in the future.

I can only assume its under new ownership.

Lovely tea room with plenty to choose from off the menu. Nice view over marketplace and very friendly owner. Try this place out it's lovely. Today I had waffles with chocolate, Nutella, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream for a late morning snack, it was delicious.
