Mrs Shah was amiable in disposition generally, very generous in her service (happy to clean teeth, knew how to treat cavities well and removed stubborn teeth painlessly to make way for a new ones popping up on many occasions).
That stated she behaved unrealistically on many occasions; at every appointment requesting me to open mouth wider repeatedly when I had already made my mouth so wide it was hurting /; I couldn't keep my mouth open so painfully for long. I have clearly been traumatized by her I realized this year in my late 20s (now in another city so at another Dental practice - 1st appointment being this month due to the Covid lockdowns) ; my current dentist tells me NOT to automatically make my mouth as wide as possible as she can see my teeth (something I thought Mrs Shah should have been able to do ...1 time Mrs. Shah requested me to talk to her as she was examining my mouth!), what I am doing is unnecessary... Glad to no longer be shuddering automatically in anxiety before appointments with Mrs Shah.
After moving out of my parents home in my late teens I moved to Ms Shah (the young, female dentist downstairs). She was friendly & professional at all times, didn't make me shudder in anxiety beforehand, didn't request the unrealistic/painful and was quick to see (unlike Mrs Shah).
That stated Miss Shah was reluctant to clean my teeth at nearly every appointment- stating I didn't need a clean (very different to how Mrs. Shah was; me not changing my brushing habits as far as I was aware...Maybe using an electric rechargeable toothbrush more often as I no longer had to worry about my mother and sister making me feel guilty for being non-environmentally friendly for using an electric toothbrush; in the years to come I emailed them about what they did - without your health you cannot do good for the planet...And your wallet... I already recycle, reuse, reduce and upcycle as much as I can..I have been an avid recycler since 8 years old when I was first introduced to recycling)... I think Mrs Shah could benefit from observing how her counterparts practice from time to time so to have the good traits she lacks? I have never had the male Dentist so cannot review him.
I also wish to tell Miss Shah (the young female Dentist) that I am sorry she never saw me while I wasn't on Universal credit ; coincidental - me wanting clear up a misunderstanding in the last decade (her shocked face when she discovered I was on Universal credit on one occasion affected me hence me typing on here in the hopes Miss Shah sees this and is relieved that I am not trying to constantly mooch)
When we used to see Dr Bamji he would clean and examine carefully, but the receptionist refuses us to see him again.
I have never witnessed anything like DR Shah rushed appointments.
She is ruining this practice established reputation!
Thank you
