Cracked a tooth on Tuesday, called up Wednesday morning and the earliest appointment I could get was Friday morning,
Turn up to my appointment (I appreciate I was just under 10 mins late) to be told I'd been moved to the other practice around the corner (would have been helpful information when booking) to them be made to wait a further 25 minutes in the waiting room.
The dentist then looks for half a second at my tooth (bearing in mind I can feel the nerve is exposed so had asked for them to book me a slot long enough for the extraction) she then tells me I've only booked in for a check up and they'll take an x-ray but probably not do anything for me today and that they never would go straight for an extraction. This is a blatant lie as last October a family member had exactly that done at this dentist. I was also told by the dentist that it was my fault we didn't have time as I was late, despite them keeping me waiting twice as long.
I am understandably frustrated at this point as I'm in agony from an exposed nerve and having to deal with the nerve of the dentist lying to my face.
I am again sent to wait in the waiting room for another 20-25 minutes only to be called back in and told that the dentist there doesn't have the skills to extract it and she'll need to give me a referral. This is Friday so she's shipped me off with no help, nothing to help with any pain and no offer of a temporary filling or the like to cap the nerve and stave some pain and allow me to eat etc over the weekend. So hardly a "care" provider.
Upon querying why this can't be extracted when my family members had in the same day with no prior appointment I was berrated and told that she's too busy as they're short staffed and all her time is clinical allocated so even the referral would be done on her own time. I appreciate for the individual this must be hard. But as a paying customer I do not expect to be spoken to this way. The practices poor management is not something I should be being made to feel bad about as a customer in pain. Absolutely disgusting.
So in short, only go here if you want to be lied to, berrated, messed around and then fobbed off.
Truly. They are the best. The dental nurse who has treated me a few times is Brilliant. Funny. Makes my treatment as nice as possible. She is my favourite. Her name is Yasmeen. Would recommend the surgery and her to anyone. Oh and her assistant Elle.
