I don't like dentists! Have been going to Avon Dental since they started in Christchurch Hospital.(I don't like dentists!) Fantastic. Every dentist I have seen has been exceptional. Polite, professional, very good at what they do.
(I don't like dentists!) Now they have moved to Bargates, my new dentist at the practice is not only professional, polite and very good at what he does he is also FUNNY! (Did I mention that I don't like dentists?) I'm almost, ALMOST looking forward to my next appointment!!! Can't recommend them more highly. From reception to dentist well done all.
Mind you, could do with a couple more chairs in the waiting room!

Had a filling replacement the other day which the dentist did very smoothly with absolutely no pain involved. Very professional service from her and her assistant. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

One of the worst client experiences I have encountered. Appointments continuously cancelled on the day. Receptionist seemed to find it acceptable to discuss personal details in front of a room full of customers. We Had a great dentist there originally and then we were switched to a dentist that we requested we didn’t feel comfortable with and didn’t want them again so we have been put with them every time since. Never going back and asked to be removed and I would rather go private as it’s cheaper than their charges. Started ok on the first visit but completely incompetent and rude ever since.

Terrible customer service from this practice. Asked for £130 upfront at the time of booking, called me last minute the day before to move my appointment time. I arrived 8 minutes late to this new time as there is minimal parking, and was not told until AFTER I had filled out multiple forms that it’s actually too late for me to even attend my appointment and they are not able to refund me. Some form of manager then told me he does not have approval to issue the refund and would not be able to obtain this from head office until next week and I have to come back in to collect it. I explained this is impossible as I do not live locally and requested the contact details of their head office to liaise directly obtaining my refund. He refused to give me the details or escalate my complaint. After a lot of unnecessary back and forth they then managed to magic the approval from somewhere and refund me the full £130 and called me “stroppy”.. I wonder why! Very unprofessional and poor communication.

I am always a nervous patient, but the dentist and staff were very patient with me and took their time to explain everything in detail. Very happy with my experience, would recommend - thank you!

I have been with this practice since it opened I have always been happy with my dentist until recently when it all changed I had two appointments cancelled within days of each other and now I get told I can’t rebook with Justine as she has full capacity and I have to go to another dentist I suffer panic attacks and I had a terrible experience with the one they want me to go with would it really be that difficult to keep me with Justine considering this but when I tried calling them I was greeted with a man raising his voice to me who talked over me every time I tried to explain when I said I want to complain he said you would be complaining to me I am the practice manager I think this is disgusting treatment for a loyal patient and I am considering leaving as soon as I can
