Thomas & Stroud Dental Surgery

Been going for years. Brilliant ladies in reception really helpful. Mr Thomas great dentist.

I am really upset by the way I was treated by Stacey I walked in with my mask exemption and was told I can’t stand inside and was made to stand outside with my baby and fill in form I had already filled in which was unprofessional enough on explaining I have a mask exemption the reception kept giving me sarcastic comments for example that she is also exempt but I explained I have a few exemption and one is something major after going back and forth I explained my exemption due to and salut and ptsd she then proceeded to laugh at me to her colleague which left me in severe distress and tears I was so overwhelmed I could not stop crying first of all it is not a law to wear a mask and I also have a few exemption and it is stated on the Welsh gov uk website that this is a choice and not a law I was then called in for my appointment and the dentist kept asking me what has happened as I was crying quite a lot I did not want to talk about it but with the dentist continuing to ask I explained and instead of trying to make the situation better or make me as a client/patient calm down she jumped to defend her colleague and then proceeded to say that we do not tolerate our staff spoken to in any negative way etc which just traumatised me more at the fact that I am the one in tears has been laughed at after explaining my exemption due to an assault and instead of being made comfortable I was shut down and blamed for the way I was treated I asked to dentist no to speak to me on the matter I just wanted to have my appointment over with I felt so uncomfortable I just wanted to have my appointment over with but was left very upset I also find it strange the day this happened the surgery were not accepting any reviews and now I am able to

Since I was a kid I've been to this dentist, but I was a bit put off after I had a negative comment, because I didn't go to an appointment due to personal reasons, DR Thomas is wicked though.

Front of desk always helpful and friendly. Mr Stroud is an excellent dentist, very thorough and ensures you're calm and relaxed. Fantastic dental surgery.

First staff are always happy and pleasant and Mr Stroud is polite and if you ask questions or advice he answers everything in a simple way ... Great dentist and all round staff ....

Another cancelled appointment in just about the 24hr mark , so near another month to wait and the practice manager says " You can go to another dentist though none are taking on or go private " , this is sure no way to speak to customers and imagine if a customer was abrupt and speaking in such away . So that's a loss of 2*

I visited this dentist today for an emergency appointment as a patient not actually registered here. I’m so nervous and suffer badly with anxiety and really struggle going to the dentist so I have awful dental health. I visited this dentist today as they had space and was seen by Gareth the dentist, I told him and the dental assistant how nervous I was first of all and they were lovely. I’ve had to use emergency dentists a few times as it’s hard to find one taking on nhs and can say hands down this dentist is the best that I’ve found. I left the surgery nearly in tears of relief as he made me feel so calm, talked me through everything he was doing and made a gap I had in my front tooth look a lot more aesthetic. There was no judgement, no condescending just a calming and lovely dentist. Himself and the assistant were so lovely I’m considering paying as a private patient here instead of using nhs. Thank you so much both you made all the difference today.

I just wanted to say that Sophia the hygenist and her assistant Kerry did a fantastic job on my teeth and gums,i was in the chair for nearly an hour and they were professional and courteous throughout the procedure.Thank you once again.

Staff are always friendly and do their best to fit you in.
Ms Hemingway is a fantastic dentist and always makes you feel calm and relaxed. Great dentist.
