Around Christmas time they have no strategy!! I was surrounded by more than 50 people all waiting to receive their items, whilst watching the argos staff rummaging around with wads of receipts in their hands. Understandably, it is the busiest time of the year, but regardless they should be more prepared. Even during the quieter times of the year, the service is slow. They need more staff in this store, for sure, but I do not often have to return items, and if I do, the staff are usually polite!

Last 5 , 6 visits I had to be in the queue for a long time, short of staff management don't understand the waiting limit and I think cutting their staff and making their customers wait for longer periods of time. I have also been seeing customers on the right waiting for collection for long period as well. Staff have been looking exhausted, God knows what's happening with the management. Other than that everything else has been excellent.

Painfully slow, unreliable service. Reserved an item then checked a second item, but didn't reserve, while in store. Waited for ages to pay, queue moved incredibly slow, got to the till and paid for the reserved item and was told 2nd item (that we checked they had before joining the queue) was not available..... After waiting for 20 mins, the screen and announcer said it was ready for collection but when we got to the collection point we were told it was not ready, we waited a further 10mins (half an hour wait in total) to get our item only to be told they didn't have it. Total waste of time.

Worst experience I have ever had in an Argos. Myself and my boyfriend purchased a tablet YESTERDAY [please note that the tablet had not been turned on, opened, all the packaging was still in place] in our local branch [Wandsworth] but we decided that it just simply wasn’t for us [I was having doubts when purchasing this item and the guy who sold it to me assured it would be okay to return with Argos’s 30 day money back guarantee. As we were in Streatham anyway I thought it would be a good idea to return the tablet to this branch [I had read online that I was able to return any products at ANY branch] - I was wrong.

A young girl with dark curly hair was dealing with my return when a intimidating, tall, old, brown woman with glasses approached she wasn’t wearing a name badge otherwise I would include her name but I suppose that’s another reason as to why this member of staff was so disgustingly unprofessional. Anyway she could tell that the situation was escalating and rudely interrupted my conversation but i was so desperate to return the tablet I didn’t mind. Not only was she rude, intimidating and super unprofessional but she also LIED to my face explaining that if I go to the store I purchased the tablet from I would be able to return the tablet although the box had been opened. I was obviously relieved to hear about this and when I asked if I could reference herself saying this she encouraged me to LIE to the staff at my local Argos and say that I had been wrongly recommended this tablet by the staff member who sold it to me?!

Just to make this clear: this four eyed cow ENCOURAGED me to LIE to other staff? What a joke.

Obviously when I reached my local Argos, 45minutes later they explained that I was unable to return my BRAND NEW tablet that was purchased YESTERDAY because the packaging had been opened, please understand that we did NOT turn the tablet on, all the packaging was still intact. No empathy was shown, it’s not my fault that the packaging was designed to be ripped open yet I have had to lose out on £150, they kept explaining that because the packaging was opened that they wouldn’t of been able to resell it which is completely understandable but not my personal problem. I am extremely upset and will dis encourage my family and peers to shop at Argos from now on. This 30 day money back guarantee is a LIE!! Id also like the woman who lied to me and encourage me to lie to her fellow colleagues to be dealt with appropriately as that was false information which affected my day massively.

Ordered a couple of items was due to collect on a couple of days. Got a text message saying the order is cancelled for the sale item. I go back to the website and it has moved up in price. It was not a error it was a sale item. With regards with covid you cannot contact them has they are busy,States on website contact live chat it is busy. I am sorry other organisation can answer the phone or at least have one or two methods of communication. The sales line is open and the company ethos is that they are there for the customer.hmmm does not look like it. I have never had a problem with Argos until now. I am sure that it is the store,I would recommend going Argos Balham and Argos Colliers wood. A much better experience and parking close by.

This Argos is the most customer friendly one I’ve been to. I bought a foot pump and a guy named Andreas destiny helped me to put it together and pump up some arm bands I had difficulty blowing up. Really helpful, patient and understanding.

Poor service, I bought a pendant for £50 they wanted to hand it to me in a little plastic bag, it looked liked a second hand item. I had to ask for the box that was advertised on the picture. Than I decided to ask about the wedding bands, the lady said I could not try them, fair enough understandable because of the pandemic, so I asked if she had a chart that I could place my ring to see the size, she said they didn't have one. I asked her if I bought the wedding band and it didn't fit, her answer came straight out as bad luck and that she was not sure if they exchanged or refound the jewelry.
