Not my usual go to place, but I went with a family member. I Purchased a longed for bag from one of my favourite designers. They had adorable children's clothing in the sale for take me home prices ( ended up buying gifts for family and friends children) Quite a satisfying shopping experience. I would go back.

Good selection of goods and you never know what you might find. Shelves are always packed full of items and they even have a large array of Italian pastas in all shapes and sizes.

Also they now have seasonal items out on the shelves.

You can always rely on a tkmaxx for unique home pieces at discounted rates. Everytime you go there, there's always a bunch of new stuff added in.

3hrs parking is not enough for weekend visit. Cafe ( see pics) was okay but staff need training to serve people who are in queue and not queue jumpers. Store is filled with clothing but your are at your best to hunt for some good deals. The aisles are so small you are rubbing shoulders with another person all the time. Only one out of two lifts was working. Good luck finding what the buttons in lift are for(see pic). First floor home department is good with contemporary items. Small toys section but I would prefer the specialist toys store across. Staff are regularly clearing up aisles and placing things back in rack.

Good cappuccino and pastry, pleasant staff in the cafe. Clothing stock not very relevant to me in my early 70s. Where has the boys toys section (tools etc) gone?

It's just ok. Recently some staff was very rude to me. There was an armchair by the till, I stopped and put my bags on it to just rearrange, the lady stood infront of me staring angrily, i asked what's the matter, she said I shouldn't use the items for sale. It wasn't clearly there on display for sale and even if it would be, people use to sit on it to check if its comfortable. It really wasn't necessary to be rude towards me. I have mobility issues and just wanted a breather. Such a shame.

Very bad customer service. The lady at the counter was very rude,no customer services whatsoever. On top of that,a man who i believe was supervisor, stepped in,talking to my wife on a tone i did not like at all(as if he was in his country talking to his own wife) so i had to step in. Yet,he was very sarcastic and not dealt with the problem at all. Shame,as we went with good intentions, but it seems as our presence created them some problems. Some people are not meant to work on customer services.

First things first, the store. The service for the changing rooms is always very good. They’re kept pretty clean considering their footfall and the staff are the nicest here. On the floor, the staff are generally helpful but I’ve had a few negative interactions with staff who have made me feel like I’m bothering them.

On the tills, it’s hit and miss. There are a few standout members of staff who I always try to aim for at the tills because they’re friendly and fast. However a lot of them need training, from efficient checkout process to Customer Service. Some scan and pack with no thought at all. I once saw someone scan 6 of the same item individually and slowly. Even the customer was like “you know you can just scan that one item, 6 times right?” and she just stared at him and continued to slowly scan each one 😂 - Literally felt like an awkward scene from the Office or Atlanta or something. Some of them you can literally smell the bad attitude on them. Like is palpable how much they don’t want to be there and that’s just really not acceptable service at all, so I have seen quite a few altercations at the till. It’s just not ideal for the customer or the staff. The customer doesn’t want poor service but also I’m sure the staff are tired of the abuse they receive.

Lastly the Café. The staff, lovely lovely lovely! Cannot say one bad thing about the service. HOWEVER… the food. Whoever comes up with that menu should be put in jail 😂 TK Maxx has officially won the award for worst in-store Café for me. Firstly, they had a “special” on a sourdough chip butty for the bargain price of £7.50! I couldn’t believe it and couldn’t contain my laughter as I queued. The cheese and tomato toasty was not toasted enough so the tomato was still cold and very ridged as they used very thick slices of tomato. The cheese was also not melted enough so all in all it tasted more like a warm cheese and tomato sandwich. The tuna one was better but again, under toasted and my partner didn’t even finish it. The chips were DRY and the smoothie was very underwhelming. The coffee was also burnt and as a barista I can tell when a machine has not be thoroughly cleaned or properly calibrated. But I would like to mention again that the staff were lovely. As someone who works in hospitality, I am almost certain most of the issues with this cafe are outside of the staffs control, so my blame would be with the company.

Overall, I like this TK Maxx. They aren’t exactly known for stellar service but of all the ones I go to, I get the sense that management are trying. Many I go to and it’s like no one gives a single care at all, so would recommend this one if you’re in the area.
