There was verbal notice or written notice communicating that there would be delays in the store. Knowing there weee delays beforehand I wouldn’t have shopped there.
Extremely disappointed. Will not be shopping at this Argos again.
Naturally, I got home and set it up so that I could test it and feel if it works for me. After a few minutes, the initially comfy headset felt uncomfortable and the sound quality was lacking. The mouse didn't feel as comfortable as I'd have liked, and the keyboard was poor quality and also didn't physically fit well with my setup.
I chatted with an Argos customer service agent online to confirm that I could return the order for a refund so that I wouldn't waste my time taking it back to the store, only to be denied. They told me I could do this - I have the transcript.
I took it back on Saturday 12/11/22 - less than 24 hours after collection - and was told that I couldn't return it because it's been opened....
HOW can I be expected to know if I want to keep the products if I'm not given an opportunity to unbox them and test them first??!?
ALSO: I knew they were going to unpack everything themselves in order to check for any damage, so I didn't bother to 100% properly repack everything. I personally would never expect the customer to be able to repack tech products exactly as they were when opened. I expected they would have staff to ensure that items are properly repacked before they're back on the shelf for reselling. The manager at this Argos branch told me that 'it's not their job to repack the products'
So now I have been refused my refund. I'm disgusted at these completely illogical policies and at the way the manager handled it. I intend to pursue this further until I get my refund.
Argos will never see my business again.
