South Bucks District Council

Appalling service. My green bin was collected all of 3 times last year despite spending hours on the phone complaining and writing emails (all of which were completely ignored). I live at the end of a long lane where I am the only one with a green bin and therefore have come to the conclusion they simply cannot be bothered to drive down my lane to pick up one bin. On the odd occasion I have had a response to why the bin was not collected, they stated that it was either contaminated or was not out. I installed CCTV facing the bin to prove they were lying. At last you would think they would be made accountable for lying and not picking up the bin. NO, nothing! Bin still not being emptied and the South Bucks Council clearly couldn't care less!

This is the worst council I see in England. Missing green bin all year. I asked my money back £50 they failed to refund. Waste bin four weeks with out collecting. The costumer service is a completely useless and a comedy joke

As with other reviewers, I would give 0 stars if possible. Since April our bins have been collected ONCE and that was only after I called and refused to hang up. They assured me the issue wouldn't continue but here we are, with the Waste piling up and they don't seem to care. I file reports, I call, I've written to them and gone into the town council in person. Our rubbish bin just sits on the public footpath... Rotting. The council just doesn't care. Worst council in the UK.

Not the one to usually complain. I would rate ZERO if I could.

However, after numerous of complaints to SBDC for 4 months now - Our recycling bin has yet not been collected. I was told a member of the management in this department will give me a call in 10 days.. THIS WAS OVER A MONTH AGO.

Absolutely appalled with the service this council provides with ZERO help and fake re assurance that someone will call us back to get this resolved! My Recycling bin has still not been collected 4 and a Half months after.

This is by far the worst council I have seen. The admission office for schools does not have a phone number and they do not answer the emails.

Absolutely sick of the service provided by SBDC, I have a list as long as my arm with problems I've experienced from awful bin collections to a fly tipping issue that caused me ££££s worth of damage to my property due to rats. It took them 7 MONTHS to come out and 'look at' the rubbish problem in which time I managed to chase down land owners myself to clear the mess AFTER south bucks told me to PAY for land registry documents to find owner details as they couldn't find them! Who are the absolute clowns running this council and what are we even paying for as residents, roads are shocking, litter everywhere, constant flooding and cutting of public grass happens once a year if we are lucky.

Left my recycling bin out on collection day and the bin was not taken as there was a recyclable carrier bag in the bin. According to South Bucks council these bags need to go in general refuse as the council do not recycle these and will refuse to collect your recycling if it is in your blue bin. Poor customer service, poor service overall paying £250+ for no reason. You pay less for better service in Southall.

I did a review before May 2021. Sadly the same people have been reelected and the same outrageous behavior is carrying on. Lately closure of an entire road to accommodate a private investor !! Also judging by the lack of response on the plethora of bad reviews, they don't care. Someone below said the staff do their best and I agree but something is wrong at the top

Clearly the South Bucks Council is extremely badly managed. They have tried to blame it on COVID but sadly , they have been under performing for years so this is an endemic issue for them. Be it road maintenance, bins, safety....they are failing the residents badly. The staff is hard working and are not to blame, I think it's more of a top management / councillors issues. The fact that their rating is so bad (1.8 star !!!!) and that no one has the courage to at least respond to explain what is going on, tells it all. Only 1 thing to do : the elections of your councillors are next year on the 6th May 2021. Make your voice heard and vote for someone who is worth is and doing it for you and not for the glory.
