Firstly wanted to say the sales team upstairs are great. They were really great in helping us decide on our bathroom, designs and just general plan. We spent a small fortune with them and when delivery arranged, we were told that they would not deliver inside the property as they were not allowed too. Disappointing point here is that they emailed saying they would deliver to a room of our choice. Luckily some friends were at hand to help move the items, but terrible delivery service!

Found what I wanted... a heavy duty dust pan and brush and paid foer it on the self service tills. My mate got what he wanted too, a touch in magnolia paint thingy. The staff were friendly and helped the best they could and we left feeling satisfied with the interactions and will most definitely return if we ever find ourselves in need of another heavy duty dust pan and brush or magnolia touch up roller. Thanks to all who contributed to our experience.

Overall the shop has a great selection of hardware for all your DIY needs. However, I went to buy a hob and the staff didn't want to help and told me to look online as they had no current brochure. I looked online and bought one from Curry's.

Their parking operator is a shame. I used the B&Q hourly van transport bulky goods and leave my own car in the car park for a bit over 2 hours. When checkout, I told the lady at the till that I need to park the car for more than two hours – she agreed and asked me to write my car registration number on a piece of paper. But after two weeks a PCN came demanding £60 for parking overtime, appealed but the parking operator insisted that they only want the money even though they didn’t dispute that I am a genuine customer and used the car park fairly. B&Q customer service offers no help. It is just disgrace, 1 star is overrate for them.

Staff not knowledgeable or helpful.

But the store is large, so a good level of stock is available.
Phone ahead to check the saw for the cutting service is working, or staffed, if that is what you need.

Not happy with the treatment at the Crawley branch on Sunday 6/11/22 midday. As a single black male using the self service checkout I was subjected to a bag check on finishing the scan of my items. Several customers before, during and after were not subjected to the same. The ladies working there have no idea that this is a racist , prejudice attitude and totally humiliated a customer who will not return. Single, black or just not the type that fits in. Prepare yourselves at Crawley B&Q.

Did click and collect and it was dead easy.
Lots of free close parking. Went to a member of staff with my order number, bits arrived shortly and the gentleman popped them into my car which I appreciated as they were heavy.

Finally B &Q social media team has sorted my issue, when I contacted them and explain my situation. After all verification they contacted the store and asked them to speak to me and resolve the issue. which finally did happen. this is nearly 2 years but new Team leader Emily and store manager Laura have been brilliant and listened to me and compensated me with gesture goodwill for the hassle I have gone through as well as kitchen fitter's day wages. I really wish this would have took place long back. But again late is better then never. I really appreciate their effort.

Appalling experience @ B & Q Crawley store from their showroom (Kitchen) department.

Store staff who helped me doing my kitchen design (Matt Fountain & Matt Taylor) were brilliant. really helpful and given me enough time.
Specially Matt Fountain been real help.
I placed an order on 12/07/2019 from my builder's tradesman account. And got the delivery date for 26/07/2019 (Main Delivery). and various other deliveries.
Few items were missing on couple of deliveries but we got it ordered by store.

When they came for delivery on 26/07/2019, there was 3 worktops were missing and been told by delivery guys that somebody will contact you from delivery team and should have contacted prior to this which never happened, so my kitchen fitter were at the property and left without work getting done and been charged as well.
I phoned delivery team and been informed will contact you by 31st of July for delivery date. Same thing again never received call.

Now as i didn't had my delivery it was flagged up to department manager Sabrina Baker, when placing order she was aware about my order.
So, when complaining to her regarding delay and not getting stuff delivered she contacted customer service and then i spoken to customer service team and finally been offered a compensation of £30 and in the end £40.as a goodwill gesture.
but i was out of pocket for a week and my kitchen fitter's day wage is no way near there.

So, Sabrina Baker as department manager can't help despite knowing situation what i have gone through. really poor and disgraceful service when placing order they are happy to take money of you but when something goes wrong it's all down to someone else.
basically passing buck but not taking ownership and getting bottom of the situation and making customer happy. Most un-professional.

Guys, BE CAREFUL don't order your kitchen stuff from B&Q, nobody is responsible when things goes wrong. But taking order they are so keen.
this will be soon in local news papers as well. I am not asking for mad amount but at least I deserve better then £40 compensation.
very poor service and no one is there to help. Really dis-appointed in B&Q store. such big store and company like this not helping to their customer when they are the one who is responsible for the hassle what customer has gone through.

No one is there to help when things goes wrong. and it does definitely go wrong.
I went to Howden and got my worktop delivered next day. Easy smooth transaction. wish they would have told me and would have got it much quicker, but they don't even have courtesy to make you aware.
