This place is huge
I got lost trying to find my way out.
So many different things on sale for all of your DIY needs. And lots of staff available to help.
I just popped in to get some ideas and will definitely be going back to get my supplies.

Typically great when going to the store. Been several times theseclast few months due to renovation.
Products are normally of good and average qualities which is expected for the prices.

Reason for 3* instead of 5*:
Had an issue with a set of two barstools that I had purchased missing a part.
Once stool had already been fully assembled and the second was part assembled and could damage and compromise the whole set of taken apart so just requited the small missing part to assemble the other bar stool. Nothing complicated.
When querying it with a customer service member of staff it was clear that they hadn't been trained on customer rights because she instantly went and asked another member of staff and then kind of fobbed us off by telling us to speak to their display staff. This member of staff also initially said we had to box up and bring both stools back but when we argued it she went and got us the part from a boxed one.
Unfortunately this customer service experience whilst rectified my issue in the end was still a poor one and says to me that some staff may require extra training in customer service skills and customer rights.

Just your average B&Q. Certainly not the biggest and best I've been to, and couldn't get the bulbs we needed due to them being out of stock. Didn't seem to be many staff around to ask for assistance either.

I'm not from this area and had to pop in, I'm glad it's not my local one, fortunately my closest B&Q to home is significantly better with more helpful staff.

Wide range of stock covering all diy materials plus a garden centre. Rather lacking in staff but one man we eventually tracked down was very helpful. Easy parking.

Lovely houseplant selection. Staff keep good care of them whilst they're there (don't allow them to dry out like other stores). Checking out was quick. The cashier was polite.

Visited the TradePoint section after telephoning the store as I was unable to complete the order online. A call back from the store confirmed that the items were in stock and were reserved for me. Looking for various other items during my visit, I found the staff to be very friendly & helpful.
Living almost equidistant from three stores of their stores, I think this will be my 'go to' branch when I need to visit.

Disgusting male customer toilets. For the profit B&Q generate you could expect some customer respect. It is not so much that they were filthy as that they appeared not to have been maintained in a very long time. Blocked cubicles. Cold taps that were not fixed to the basin. Floor literally sticky. The smell! Dust and filth everywhere. Politely explained this to a manager who exclaimed he was surprised as they had spent a lot of money on the customer facilities. Really? I wonder how difficult it can actually be to have clean maintained facilities?

Recommend the hire of a Rug doctor. Value for money. Non wide machine hie, carpet cleaner and stain remover around £70. Managed to clean three bedroom bungalow minus kitchen and bathroom.
Stain remover is wicked by the way. It managed to get red wine out. No effort, spray and carpet clean. Amazing
