Best practice I've ever been a part of. Couldn't recommend it more highly

I've always previously rated this surgery. Pre-Covid, you could regularly phone and get a same day appointment, generally see the same GP and receive great all round service.

Post-Covid however, there has been a serious decline in their performance. There appears to be a refusal to take requests on the phone, instead being directed to their online request, which of course is offline out of hours and sometimes offline during the working day too. Once you do manage to make a request, you're in for a couple of days wait to receive a phone call. You're lucky if it's a doctor, there now seems to be a growing trend of being fobbed off to a nurse, or even an external pharmacist.

Even trying to send paperwork by email appears too difficult for them, and they refuse to provide an email address, insisting you drop them off in person at the surgery. What a waste of time, effort, fuel and emissions.

Overall, I still do rate the care I receive off the doctors, but the layers of bureaucracy in getting to speak to one, is becoming a great source of frustration, disappointment and unnecessary hypertension.

Very concerned about this practice!!!
Patient with BP issues and medication, unable to see anyone as Dr apparently works from home via zoom. How do they expect an elderly lady with limited tech knowledge to negotiate this ????

The worst GP I've ever used; a complete lack of compassion for patients and incompetent. Forgot to say first appointment was in person and not over the phone (despite being warned of terrible phone reception in the area), second attempt was cancelled with no reason or advanced notice, with both being booked with the wrong person anyway since they'd given me the incorrect person to ask for. Calls back don't happen. Prescriptions get lost/not actioned. The Practice Manage was quick to blame everyone and everything, yet even the things which was fixed clearly aren't (e.g. lost prescriptions was fixed, only for a couple of hours later the relatives ones not being ready despite four days notice). And why does the pharmacy need three days, when every supermarket does it in 30 minutes!?! I did get an apology for the long list of weeks, but frankly was insincere and meaningless in substance given the blame of everyone else. I wish I had an alternative in range.

The doctors and nurses have always treated me well, however, this surgery is let down by the reception team. Who, on multiple occasions, missed crucial details on medical forms leading to them not being completed or being invalid. They also seem to be unable to book future repeat appointments when they are booked over a month in advance. Finally when confronted with a complaint nothing seems to have been done about it leaving me feeling extremely frustrated.
