Time and time again this surgery let's our family down. We have had some great experiences here but also some very poor, when it comes to peoples health and well being we should not be subject to inconsistent service. We moved back to llanelli over 2 years ago and waited almost 2 years of that time just to get registered (despite regular attempts here and multiple other local surgeries) Eventually we got in just because I was already off sick and needed a fit note but still had no G.P, so I was desperate and happened to mention I had been a patient there some 10 years earlier, then I was able to register fine (?)
I've had multiple cases of missing fit notes, had one fit note go missing twice and had to wait to have it re-done for over a week. We have different people telling us different things all the time, which demonstrates either a lack of knowledge, ability or communication. I was put on a waiting list for a blood pressure monitor. The nurse was really concerned at the time and both my blood pressure tests were too high over several weeks, so I was anxious to get it sorted and diagnosed if needed, but the appointment was made during my holiday, so I had to miss it and go back on the waiting list. That was 3 months ago......
Recently we called to book an advance appointment for my partner as it wasnt urgent (an issue she has had most of her life but over the last 2 years or so it had gotten progressively worse) but we wanted a double appointment so she could see the GP about another issue. She doesnt have alot of free time from work so getting in to see a doctor is already tough, so this was the best option. The nearest available date was 1 day beyond her current shift timetables, so she wasnt sure she was going to be off. I was told that it would be better to ring on the morning, but I made it clear it needed to be a double and that it wasnt an emergency, they said that it didnt matter. So we called again on the day she was off work.......to be told that if it wasnt an emergency she shouldnt be calling on the day and that we cant book double appointments when calling in the morning??? So immediately it demonstrates incapability and a lack of trust in our own health care providers for either being poorly trained, poorly informed or making it up as they go along. Neither of which is preferable. What a joke. We were then told that to do this we should book an advance appointment?! Which is what we had already tried to do initially. I explained this but they didnt really care. I hate to say it, but this is one job role I hope to God gets replaced by robots in the very near future, as atleast this way we may get some degree of capability and consistency. We took the double appointment as quick as possible, before they changed their story again. We noticed how quick she then was to cancel the daily emergency appointment! The double appointment was made with the nurse however, so I can probably guess that on the day, if it doesnt get cancelled or mis-booked before then, the nurse will say that she needs to see a doctor. Thanks for making sure my medical needs have taken over 2 years to get precisely nowhere avenue villa. I suggest some re-training......or better still I will send my 7 year old to replace the lot of them and we may see some improvement. Dont register here unless you are absolutely stuck for an alternative, like we were, but even then, lower your expectations dramatically and dont expect to use this surgery to sort out any of your medical problems......I suggest talking to your local postman or barber for that. Disaster.

Disgraceful how I was spoken on the phone to a lady doctor.asked a simple question on how do I make that appointment, is it by ringing in the morning or by ringing now to make the appointment and she spoke to me like if I was just going to show up thinking I could just walk in.i told her exactly what I thought that I am not daft and if she listened properly to the question I gave she wouldn't have tried answering the way she did.un unfortunately some people who are not strong minded like me would have let her speak the way she did and wouldn't have gotten what was needed such a shame . Nobody has the right to speak down to someone

Worst receptionist ever, I was disgusted by my treatment today from the english one, first starts shouting about it is only emergency calls they're taking without even asking what my issue is... Then when finally she was don't ranting actually took my details she started taking attitude again upon displaying my confusion she then swore and hung up when I asked for a copy of the phonecall... Amazing treatment. I'd love to hear how she treats the elderly 🤦

I had a brilliant appointment with a new Dr, Dr Eric. He was so easy and comforting and made me feel very calm. He explained things in a way I could understand and didn’t belittle or make me feel stupid. I would recommend everyone to be seen by this Dr, such a kind man. I was also seen within a day of phoning for an appointment, which I didn’t think would happen!

Was asked by the surgery to make an appointment for a Flu jab which I then made over a fortnight ago. Told when I turned up today that they didn't have any left for the under 65s. They blamed the Doctors for giving them to everyone else. If the appointment has been made it's their responsibility to ensure that vaccinations are kept for those patients. Been told by one member of staff that they've been inviting friends and family in to have jabs !! I wouldn't be so annoyed if the same thing hadn't happened last year when, after waiting for 30 mins for our appointments, both my husband and I had the same excuse. Walked in to Savers Pharmacy and had them there, phoned the surgery to inform them of our status only to be invited 2 weeks later to make an appointment for a Flu Jab. The "Manager" is certainly not capable of managing at all. Losing all sympathy for the NHS when this sort of incompetency is not due to Covid or recent added pressure but typical of the service received for over 15 years.

Awful, left me after operating on me then claimed it was mental health, excruciating paint stents and pins for no reason at all. Won't even see me to explain, on tablets for mental health currently pins still in.
