New Era Dry Cleaners

Worst dry cleaner. Brought in a brand new shirt and picked it up again completely ruined. The owner did not even offer me the money back for the cleaning. By law, traders have a responsibility of care under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Deeply deeply disappointed.

Brilliant, eco friendly dry cleaner. Run by a lovely friendly family. Great service and high quality cleaning.

Tim (the owner), you're an absolute legend. I turned up yesterday to his store half an hour before I was meant to be at a friends wedding and with a severely ripped suit jacket pocket.. seemingly beyond repair.. and he managed to make it look representable and fixed it. He's a saviour, a local and a nice guy on top of all of it. I as a result wouldn't hesitate to use new era time and time again. Amazing service.

Do not take your loved items for alterations here. I asked them to take in a dress for me for a wedding which they said was fine and pick up on thursday. I went in on Thursday and they had no idea where it was and told me to come back tomorrow. Came back this morning and still had no idea where it was so ended up searching the shop with the guy working there and found it screwed up in a box under the counter and hadn’t been touched. No apology just excuses and blaming other people. Terrible customer service and service. I think fine for dry cleaning but would not recommend alterations from here!!

Brilliant dry cleaners and alteration business who I have been going to for over 10 years. All the staff are very helpful and attentive. The cleaning and repairs of garments is excellent and very fairly priced. They also brought back from the dead a rug for me which is now as good as new. I highly recommend them.

I took in a hoodie to have a new zip fitted. Went back to collect 2 weeks later and found that the 'new' zip was faulty - I pointed out how the 2 zip parts did not align properly (see first photo - the one on the left is the faulty one. The one on the right is from another identical hoodie with original zip) and that it had to be fiddled with each time to make it work. I requested that this be sorted. I went back again after another 2 weeks, only to be told that no improvement had been made. I said that I would not pay for a faulty repair. The manager (owner?) then called a family member, who claimed that it was the best repair possible. They both then became hostile, saying I should pay. The manager then said the zip should be removed and then even threatened to cut up the hoodie in front of me. I said I would film if he did this, at which point I was given it back, without paying. Appalling service, rudeness and hostility. I must add that I have been using the place for years and gladly paid for previous repairs including zips, as these were done properly.
When I got home, I looked more closely and noticed that there were other faults in the work. You can see this in photos 2 and 3, compared with the original zip on an identical hoodie.
Can only assume that there has been a change in management or ownership. Will NEVER use again with the current staff - there are several good quality places nearby.

A really lovely lady who works here! She went out of her way to get my laundry pressed in no time at all because she could see I was stressed about getting something done for a wedding. My clothes look fab! I really couldn’t rate them more highly! She really goes out of her way for you. Other places send things away so I love that they do everything in house. Such reasonable prices as well!
