Teddington Tailors & Dry Cleaners

Awful experience. I took in my brand new Hugo Boss suit and was told that after the alterations it would "Look just as new".

Well... The cuffs were taken up, on one sleeve the buttons sit nicely side by side, on the other sleeve they now overlap and look really bad.

The trousers were taken up, and it looks as if i'd stitched them myself. On the outside of the trousers i can see the stitching print all around, they look terrible.

I paid to have the waist taken in, this was not done. I had also asked them to pick out the pocket stitching, this again was not done.

I have emailed them twice with images of their shoddy work and have been ignored both times. They were quick to respond when potential money was coming their way.

I don't like leaving bad reviews for businesses as they can have quite an impact, but the fact that their service was so poor, and the fact that I've been ignored since, and now have to spend more money to put right their awful work was just too much.

I paid a lot of money for my suit and now it just looks like a cheap copy. I don't remember the last time I was so disappointed in a service.

Do not take anything you care about to this place, it will treated like old rags.

Teddington tailors have taken in both my and my sister's wedding dresses. They did a great job and would trust them with the most expensive dress! In taking the waist in on the skirt, they removed all the buttons and sewed them in again and you wouldn't be able to tell at all that it has been altered. They also have taken in my husband's suit (trousers and arms) and have done a brilliant job.

These people should NOT be calling themselves tailors. Hacked through my wedding dress, absolutely destroyed it and I see in other reviews and local forums for Teddington/Twickenham/Kingston/Hampton residents that mine wasn't the first wedding dress they have slaughtered. When I expressed upset and disbelief, they showed me what can only really be described as snarling contempt. I was given a refund for the "tailoring" and they did offer to fix it, but given how incompetent and unprofessional they were along with incredibly unpleasant, I took the dress and left. Never again. Photo shows how these "bridal dress experts" take up wedding dresses. They then claimed that it was the dry cleaning that destroyed it. OK then.....

Absolutely awful experience with this shop, put my wedding dress in to be taken up, the dress wasn't ready on the day they said it would be, I returned 2 days later to collect the dress and the alterations still hadn't been done, was told to pop to the shops and come back in 30 minutes...... When I came back to collect the dress, the bag it was in was covered in thick dust (the shop had had a refit) whilst my dress was in there. I took the dress home, it stunk of paint and there was a catch in the material on the front of the dress (which wasn't there when I left the dress with them) I called the shop and told them and returned straight away with the dress.....obviously they denied all knowledge and said they didn't do it, they eventually offered to get my bran new dress dry cleaned to get rid of the smell of paint. They said to come back 2 days later to collect the dress. I return and they said we haven't had it dry cleaned as it is a catch in the material, not a dirty mark! (Which I told them in the first place) their customer service was discussing. This has resulted in me having to get a new wedding dress and them being paid £39 for altering and ruining my dres!!! I would strongly suggest avoiding this shop and taking your clothes elsewhere.

We had a last minute wedding dress disaster, Took it to the store and the Gentleman/ owner I guess , managed to fix it for us quickly and to a high standard with no fuss.

Dropped in a pretty trashed wedding dress, it was not only restored with corsetry mended but the pricing was outstanding.
