THOMAS CLARK DRY CLEANERS

I have been using Thomas Clark for 5 years and I live in Clapham. My partner recommended him because he lived in Streatham and I now regularly use him all the time for my curtains, rugs, and any and all specialist cleaning I need. Hes 100% percent reliable, reasonable and he picks up and delivers. Really a great service.

I took some curtains to be cleaned and repaired. The quality of the cleaning seemed OK, although once I got the curtains home I noticed black grease marks on the bottom edge of the curtains.

Despite being told the curtains would be ready first thing in the morning, the job was not finished when I arrived after midday. When I was finally able to inspect the repairs in the shop with the owner, it turned out that only part of the job had been done, and that was to a very poor standard.

The owner was not interested in addressing the poor quality of the job, and the tone of the conversation rapidly became vocal and aggressive. The owner only seemed interested in taking full payment and getting back to what he was doing. A sad example of a small independent business failing to deliver on quality and customer service.

I will never use this business again, and will now have to pay someone else to rectify the job.

Worst customer service ever!!!

I collected my husband's dry cleaning and was told by Andy "I knew the poppers on the shirt would break" if that was the case should you not advise the customer, then they can make a decision whether they would like you to go ahead and clean the clothes. He then changed his story and said they were already broken when the items were brought in.

We asked to get the clothes fixed and was charged when I tried to explain that we should not be charged Andy became irate said he was angry and walked away. That is not how to speak to customers. His colleague then said they take no responsibility for damages. They obviously do not understand the Sales of Goods Act also refers to services.

I do not believe all of the glowing reviews on this page.

He's the Best in town and been there for over 20 years. Had some alterations done on various garments. I'm using dry cleaning services often too.

Great service. Andy provides great attention to detail. He got a mark out of a blue silk top belonging to my daughter - her own dry-cleaner had failed to remove the mark! I could not praise Andy highly enough.

Thomas did a brilliant job of dry cleaning my wedding dress! I was so impressed with his care and diligence. The boxing and packing was exactly what I hoped for. He now has a customer for life in me.
