Savilles Dry Cleaners And Laundry Service

Markenfield dry cleaners took my 2 months old jacket for dry cleaning and completely destroyed it over night. My jacket had huge raccoon fur around the hood and was bright red colour. After cleaning it the whole thing looked as it was run over by a tractor, it was no more fur and colour was washed out. They kept lying about methods of cleaning used, first lady said it was dry cleaned then she admitted putting my jacket into the washing machine, because the hood was soaking wet on my arrival. I don't know anyone who would decide to put real fur into the washing machine!!! She didn't even think to call me and ask if she can wash it instead of dry cleaning. Obviously she didn't care at all. Markenfield owners refused to apologise, they didn't want to tell me who their insurer was until I kept insisting for few days and told them that I'm going to see my solicitor.
Really bad customer service, poor cleaning service, bad attitude. Please aware this could happen to anyone who wants their clothes dry cleaned at Markenfields. Well, you can also wash your coat and jacket at home in your washing machine, which will give you the same result, but wont cost you anything.

DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANERS!!!
Liars who absolutely ripped me off. I can only assume that they took advantage of the fact that I asked my mother to drop my suits in as I work full time in London. I had tried to drop them off myself but under the new management they no longer open on Sundays as they used to so I left my suits with my mother to drop in the following day. They made her pay up front and charged her considerably more than even their own price list (and had the cheek to tell her they had given her a discount!). I complained and originally they promised me they would give me a partial refund to make amends but when I actually collected my suits he refused to do so.

Interestingly I note that the one of the few good online reviews of this dry cleaners was done by a chap with the same name as the owner. Perhaps just a coincidence...

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would do so but there isn't so they get 1 star!

Goods and bads..
- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Basic dry cleaning services carried out well and cheaply
- Wedding dress cleaning not great, esp. if there is anything unusul or out of the ordinary (e.g my silk/organza flower which was a large feature of my dress was completely destroyed even though they say thay took it off and sewed it back on again. I think Stevie Wonder could have done better with the sewing kit!!). Not best pleased..

Overall.. I'd recomment taking items there if they are fairly standard items, nothing else.

Fabulous service! Really handy for when you need someone to come and pick up a load of washing and have it delivered back to you, clean, pressed and hassle free. Have used frequently and will use again

Very lovely and the best washing and collecting service about Guildford, so efficient and really is helping us while our washing machine is broken.

Had a blanket cleaned (wouldn't fit in my machine at home) and a skirt taken up (the perils of online shopping and a tall model!). The gent was lovely and both blanket and skirt are wonderful.

Lovely guys who run the place. 2 suits for £25 is a great deal. They also did me an express service the same day which saved me when in a tight pinch. Thank you so much. Will be using for the all of my dry cleaning needs

Excellent friendly Dry Cleaners. Cleaned several pairs of curtains for me and the results were amazing. Zaid was very helpful.
