I had an appointment for passport renewal jus recently but I must say it was an ugly encounter at the mission.
Being a traveller, I had booked a return flight back home with the intent that I’d get sorted easily with the process.
I arrived at the mission and had to join the long queue before the receptionist could number my application form, from there, I had to join another long queue before I could be given a ticket number in order to be called to the counter.
Things were not right, so much delays before being called so I went to speak to one of the guys at the counter and explained my situation as I had to catch a flight back and any more delays could cause me to miss my flight.
Oh! This guy had a little sympathy and took my application, gave me a ticket and told me to go back and wait to be called for the actual biometrics. What a relief! So I thought.
However, the waiting game resumed, I went back and forth the counter to remind them every time of my predicament, each time to be told the same story of “go back and wait, you’ll be called soon”.
So I was getting anxious as the clock ticked, the only thing I had my eyes on was my watch, counting every second for the amount of time I actually had before check-in.
On my last walk to the counter, I was eventually told they had encountered a power cut so the biometrics had halted.
What???? Power Cuts???? In modern day London??? So appalling!!!!
And no plan B at the mission in case of such unexpected incidents?
I must say it was awful, disheartening, disgusting and sickening for everyone who had waited with the hope of being called for the last stage of the process.
And for me, a huge loss, time consuming and a total waste of resources (monetary).
The staff in general have very poor communication skills, no respect for human, inconsiderate and very poor customer services.
Eventually, time was running out as no one had a clue when the problem was going to be fixed or if they had taken prompt steps to try and solve the it.
Broken-hearted as I was, and in a desperate attempt to beat the clock, I had to go on a marathon to catch trains and a flight back home which was a near miss.
This will be an experience that will live with me for years to come.
I will humbly recommend that the Mission take peoples reviews seriously and work on their shortcomings because seriously, this poor service and work ethics can’t be allowed to continue, no, not at at!!!.
I thank the staff for their considerate attention to my pressing need of leaving my kids especially a year old child home to travel for the appointment. I was truly late and even missed the venue but the staff eased my anxiety by helping me out and saving me mental distress as I was worried of missing my return coach. I met the coach a minute to its leaving the station.
I am very grateful GHC passport staff.
Thank you

They advertise on there website,a phone number,that doesn't work.They have a email address,that when used,don't expect a response.And if your lucky to get a response,a few days later(hopefully your not in a rush,or its nothing urgent).Expect,to get a reply,that doesn't help at all.
And when you apply online, for your Visa,or Passport. Some devices will not work.Because of their backward system.
You can do web chat. But they don't now how to help you.And don't have any answers to give you, that make any kind of sense,to the question you've asked. They will tell you to send an email.
But anyway,Good luck.Your gonna need it....
