Boots Opticians

Great service from eye test technician but terrible front of house service. Got worse when I picked glasses up for fitting, worst experience ever from boots for glasses to be fitted, now have to return them as not right. Come on boots where's your customer care vanished to.

Excellent back staff whom did the eye test. Not good customer service at front of house two people stood talking and left one lady to do all the work. We stood around waiting and no one offered any help looking at frames whilst waiting for the prescription. It took almost two hours altogether .

The actually optician who did my eye test was lovely. The staff out the front are so incredibly rude and condescending. One member of staff in particular has a really bad attitude. Next time I need glasses I’ll be going elsewhere, you think they’d want my custom considering I spent nearly £500 on one pair of glasses.

A trip to this opticians saved my sight and I cannot praise the staff at this store highly enough. After struggling to get an appointment at my usual branch I booked online as I had altered vision and arrived to my appointment which was running on time. I had my 4 month old baby with me and the staff were so friendly to us both. Adam saw me and realised there was something serious going on straight away but he kept calm and made sure he was thorough so that he could give me an accurate diagnosis. He referred me promptly to York Hospital where I underwent emergency eye surgery to fix detached retinas and holes on my retinas. He did this all with a fussy baby sat on my knee, even conducting some of the examination stood up as I soothed my child.

On top of this the store staff were so friendly and chatted with me and kept me calm and occupied whilst waiting for my eye drops to take effect.

If this hadn’t been investigated properly I could have lost my vision and I will forever grateful for this visit.

Terrible service from the two ladies,rushing me in,talking to me like I was back in the Army,Training!There was only me in the shop?so no need to act this way.
Then rushing me to pick the glasses I want!(cost a fortune by the way)are you ready !are you ready !picking the right glasses😎 is important especially when they say,You know they are non refundable 😳
A customer service course wouldn’t go amiss here ladies,or if you are not happy get another job somewhere hidden away from the public maybe an 💡.I know HMP Wetherby are hiring,(perfect).

Great experience from start to finish. Thorough and friendly eye tests and really helpful and lovely front of house staff helping me choose the frames that best suited me.

I had full eye test on Wednesday. This was done by Helen she was outstanding. Oh what a professional she is’ totally brilliant. Bright. Informative. Helpful. The team we’re great I purchased two pairs of glasses. It was a pleasure. The whole experience was a success. After a total nightmare at a leading competitors hands. I could not believe how good it would be. Well done boots in Selby. Great team !!!

Appalled and disgusted with one of the front of house staff. Was spoken too with such a tone in her voice, never been treated in a shop like that ever!!! As a lady with physical problems and health issues she certainly had no sympathy, and was told to go outside for some fresh air in such a manner. I went outside and did not return for my appointment. Will never use them again and neither will my family and friends
