Looking forward to trying out the glasses range in the next few months. Well done Moorgate team, from a very happy customer.
- They don't give you the pupil distance unless you order glasses from them. So after going through both tests they offer (£25+£35) you still can't order glasses from other manufacturers.
- They tested my eyes and gave the same Sphere (dioptres) for both. I know my eyes are significantly different which was confirmed by Boots in a defferent test earlier. I phoned them to ask about accuracy and the representative on the phone said 'That's fine, just order the glasses. I'm sure you'll be allright'.
- They promissed to send scan results by email. I phoned them to remind about that. No emails.
Pain in the eye not improving after a week of treatment post GP, refused to check it even though we're obviously not busy. Should be ashamed
After waiting for about 5 minutes, I asked a member of staff for help. He walks away from me, without making eye contact and tells me to see his colleague. All of his colleagues either had their heads down pretending to work or hid round the back.
The male optician lacked basic personal skills and spoke to me like I was a child.
When I went to pay for my goods, the optician told another member of staff to add another on to the tally, clearly working on comission for selling products. I understand businesses need to hit sales targets but don't shout it in front of customers. It was vulgar.
There were around 6 people in the branch that day and no other customers. Zero stars for customer service.
How has this branch not closed down yet?
I'll be going back to my usual branch even if it is further away!
Yesterday, the manager told me that he can't post out my trial lenses because they don't have stamps. I'd have to wait because he has to call head office first, and then when they approve, they will send him the stamps. Also, that head office only sends out second class stamps. Ultimately, he blamed Covid for not having stamps.
Not only do they not have stock of postage stamps, rarely do they have trial lenses in stock either. So, you will be walking back and forth several times to get lenses.
I cannot recommend.
I give one star for location and the other for one other staff member who does seem to care (about the only one).
