Boots Opticians

Went in to Boots for my first eye test there as had a free eye test voucher from them. Two of the staff were coughing none stop and clearly should not have been in work that day, especially working so closely to peoples faces. The store also needed a renovation with paint missing off the walls and damage to them as well.

The optician herself was fine and gave me my prescription with no issues. Afterwards I had a peripheral vision test which I failed on numerous times. Obviously concerned they wrote me up a referral letter to the hospital for further checks. I went to my local Specsavers and asked to do another peripheral vision test while I waited for my referral to come through, but was told by them my vision was perfect and I had no blind spots. They also told me the older machines used to test these as used in this Boots store are often faulty and give out false readings.

Would avoid and pay a bit more for peace of mind with more modern equipment elsewhere.

Staff here are friendly and don't force you to buy add on cover with pressure.

Brilliant and professional eyetest with the optician, staff are so friendly. I was amazed at the choice of glasses especially designer ones and the deals they do. The equipment was very new and modern. I also am having contact lenses and they have taken the time to explain and demonstrate clearly how to care for them . Would recommend to friends and family especially with a voucher.

Amazing pharmacy, amazing staff, very friendly, welcoming and professional. They have very new and modern equipment, I don’t know why it has such a low rating. I was extremely satisfied,will definitely come back 😃
