It is ridiculous that we have to wait 2 days to be get a phone call appointment and when they actually rang back can’t believe that they don’t give enough time to pick the phone up and don’t bother trying again. No help from the reception either. When we rang back again said that the doctor tried several times however there was no record on the phone suggesting that. Asked them to ring on landline if they can’t get hold on mobile. It’s like they don’t care about their patients wellbeing. Too bad can’t give no stars. Find another GP if you can.

Dr's are always on call, all 1 of them ,every time you call them expect to wait at least 3 hrs for an excuse as to what and why the Dr can't see you, won't see you,or just can't be bothered, and the receptionists are jobs worth, do enough to keep their jobs. Whole place needs an investigation on them.will be asking the medical board to look into this.

The most horrendous gp. They keep messing up my repeat prescription for my anticonvulsants, literally can’t carry out basic requests like doctors notes without having their hand held. They have treated me horrendously, honestly disgusting.

Trying to get an appointment is like asking for the lottery winning numbers. Unless the ladies who answer the phones are actually medically trained, they interrogate and refer you to A&E!!!! No I want to see my GP, let the GP decide if I need A&E. I had to dig my heels in and keep demanding an appointment, today we have just got back, GP not impressed with reception staff, we been given steroids and antibiotics….not sent to A&E I might add. No wonder hospitals can’t cope if Go receptionists at this surgery keep sending people there for GP matters. Cmon Guildhall sort out the receptionists. Training needed in customer care and an awareness to leave the diagnostic to the doctors at the surgery

Had a severe ear infection and called up to ask to see a doctor. The side of my face was swollen, and I was in terrible pain. Doctor didn't even phone me back. He sent a text saying I've issued some painkillers "hope you feel better soon, take care"
Honestly! Ended up going to the walk in centre who examined my ear, couldn't even see inside for how blocked it was and she was concerned that my face was swollen too. She sent me straight to William Harvey, which ended up in an overnight stay, on IV antibiotics and fluids.
Guildhall Street Surgery is a waste of time and money!

If there was a minus option I would rate this surgery-5! Never known such a sad excuse of a surgery. I rang for my daughter and could only speak to a receptionist who kept putting me on hold to speak to the doctor. Why couldn't I speak to them myself!? The doctor couldn't be bothered to see my daughter as we were advised to go to the william Harvey hospital, only to be waiting for 5 hours to see a gp! They could have easily seen my daughter but chose not to. How they have the nerve to call themselves a doctors surgery is beyond me and I think they are a disgrace and embarrassment to the profession.

Following some issues I had an initial appointment, was referred for further tests and checks, had follow up appointments, phone calls when promised. Had no trouble with bookings and reception staff were always good. Maybe I have been lucky but the service has been excellent.

I have been with Guildhall Surgery for a number of years now. Because of the closure of a couple of different surgeries locally they have ended up with many more patients than they are equipped to deal with. Despite that the staff work tirelessly to ensure that they provide the best possible service to the local community. It can take a long time to get through on the phone but recent innovations like GP consult available via their website and online registration have really helped to improve access. I want to thank all the staff for their absolutely heroic efforts in really difficult circumstances - it's very much appreciated.
