Receptionists are NOT health professional and should not be triaging patients, it’s dangerous. They do not understand the severity of illnesses. A receptionist filled in a ‘my GP’ form on the behalf of a family member when she called up for an appointment, and DID NOT put down what was said. As a health professional myself, I am disgusted at this service and I will be writing yet another formal complaint and expecting a full investigation. I will contacting the local CCG too. Unacceptable service.

Everyone at the medical practice is so lovely and has your best interest in mind. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a smile and a very helpful member of the team, then anyone you are seen by, from the nurses to the pharmacists and the doctors you will be receiving the best quality of care I have seen at a GP surgery. Everyone at the practice is lovely and has a great level of skill. They work as a team to ensure the best person is helping you and that nothing is missed.

We cannot rate this practice highly enough. They have gone above and beyond for our family. As adults, we have been patients for a number of years but felt the need to write this after the experiences we have had over the last year, particularly towards our children. Dr Ansari has offered them a first class health care and we cannot thank him enough. We have also been seen by Dr McGowan who has also been incredible. We feel that we are in very safe hands and everyone (reception staff, midwives, nurses, doctors) has been brilliant. Thank you to everyone involved.

I’ve had *some* good experiences with this practice, but probably on balance more bad than good. Most recently, I’ve had external consultants send letters to the practice regarding medication changes that have taken over a month for anyone to pick up and act on, resulting in delays to me getting the proper dosage - in some cases those communications have only been acted on when I chased it up with the practice and pointed out how long it’d been since the initial letter. I’ve also had quantities of requested prescriptions changed for no apparent reason, and again it has taken me following up to be told that it’s because I needed a review; I hadn’t had a regular review for that medication for many years and so wouldn’t have known that was the reason, so it really should have been communicated to me without me having to query it! I’ve then had texts after the phone review telling me I still need to book one, causing lots of confusion and me needing to call reception to clarify. I find requesting prescriptions pretty stressful because I’ve had to chase countless times and I never really feel confident that things will get done properly without me checking constantly.

This is all compounded by the medium of actually communicating these issues. While the Askmygp system was very useful initially because it negated the need to call at 8am, that now seems to only be available for requests between 8am and 9am too. This makes it pretty inaccessible for people who start work around that time; in a lot of jobs it’s just not possible to have your phone out ready to fill in an e-consult form in the hour that the system is available. It’s all just a bit of a mess, sorry.

This practice has improved a great deal over the last 10 years and now offers above and beyond all round service. As an example I ran out of insulin whilst away. With one phone call a prescription was issued to a temporary pharmacy and I got insulin in 30 mins! I even received a follow up call from my local pharmacy. Excellent teamwork.

Dr Anasri is a wonderful young Doctor. He listens closely, prompts effectively if one is struggling express a pain or problem with precision, and offers clear and practical guidance.

I am grateful for the whole experience, from speaking with receptionist due to my access difficulties with askmyGP, to the pleasant greeting on arrival and the consultation itself. Thank you all.

What a shambles its so slow seenngrass grow faster. Had a 4pm appointment with my daughter and still waiting to be seen 45 min later. Yet they put up a sign about 290 min lost to patients not turning up. They didnt turn up they went home becuse of the waiting time. And some people in waiting were there before us.

Visited the practice nurse yesterday, she honestly couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and professional. I have had the same experiences with the GP’s at this practice too. I highly recommend.
