Flagstaff Island Brewers Fayre

The pub continues to maintain high standards in all areas. It was comfortable, the service friendly and efficient. Our meal was tasty, well presented and excellent value with the 'Two for £9.49' menu. It is family friendly and has sufficient parking. Recommended.

I am writing this review sat in a nearby restaurant which is a pity because when we booked to stay at The Premier Inn we were encouraged to book a table for dinner. We had an 8pm booking. At 8.15 the waiting staff had stopped taking orders at table so we were told we had to order at the bar. On going to the bar I was first told they had stopped taking orders for food and then when I queried that they said there was over an hours wait which wasn't acceptable. Either the kitchen is understaffed or not able to cope with a full complement of covers. The barman had started running out of certain mixers or spirits for some of the drinks on offer and the bar and waiting staff were starting to lose their composure and I can understand that as they are customer facing.
I cannot conceive how a chain restaurant can be falling apart by 8 in the evening on a Saturday when, although the restaurant was fully booked for the evening it wasn't at that point fully occupied.
We booked a table for tomorrow morning for breakfast but have no faith that we will actually end up with any food. Either the management, and/or kitchen staff need an overhaul. The waiting staff were doing the best they could and were certainly trying to stay positive in front of customers.
Not good enough!

Disgusting food, my partner served a frozen meat pie, I had gammon and chips at to eat alone while my partner waited for a replacement meal which was warm will never be coming again gave one star which they didn't deserve. As a chef I advise probing food before serving it wasn't even busy in the pub .DISGUSTING refund asked for and given but that doesn't excuse such food being served no qualified chef on duty will be taking this further

Wasn't the best experience. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were OK. Ordered a starter as a main and a main course, specified this at the till and the food came out at different times. We ordered pudding and after a 40 minute wait chased it up and they said they were just making them but asked us to confirm the order so we did. they then returned to advise they didn't have the pudding in we ordered. We only had 5 minutes left in the carpark by then so cancelled the order. I don't plan on returning... sorry

Sunday lunch was lovely.
Had to wait 40 mins for it although not busy in the restaurant. If your short staffed in the kitchen then all they had to do was say. Instead of us waiting for both dinner and pudding.
A little explaining to customers is all it needs

Food was nice when it eventually came however when eating with a partner you expect food to come out at the same time. My food was about an hour after ordering and for my friends food we had waited 1hr50 and gave up and asked for a refund. They gave one without asking why which tells me this is a thing that happens alot. We heard complaints for four other people about the wait time for food too. Happened the three times I've been there. Won't be going back.

Came here for business trip and the breakfast was Pants, who gets scrambled eggs WRONG? This place. Tried the dinner a they’re out stock on 3/4 of the menu. Big stack burger came but bun was cold 😒. They have a group of kids running the shop sooo disappointing.

Perfectly fine for normal meals but avoid at Xmas time as not up to standard. General food quality/quantity and customer service lacking even if there are a few exceptions to this.
