Such a lovely, warm welcoming pub. Especially the waitress called Devika, she went above and beyond to make our visit warm and welcoming, fantastic service. She made the children giggle and was such a lovely person even though she seemed rushed off her feet, big up to her!! Food was delicious and the children loved the play area. Will definitely be back.

Friendly staff but awful food. Been feeling unwell since I had it yesterday.

The smothered chicken burger was mostly dry and sweet potato fries were bland and overcooked, didn’t even finish them.

Won’t be returning.

Arrived 30 minutes early to our booking. Table was already ready. Order two chicken burgers + soft drinks for £30ish. Food came within minutes and I mean lightning quick. My burger and chips were stone cold. The chips were tasteless. It was so quick that we left the pub at the time we were meant to have arrived! 30 minutes for sitting, ordering, eating!

Shame as I used to enjoy coming here with my family many years ago.

Absolutely awful service from a member of staff working in the children's soft play area. Needs training on customer service or just simply get a job where you don't need to have face to face conversations with people. Never been treated so poorly in that environment before.

To be honest if I could rate it a 0 I would. I’m not one for negative reviews but I think that people need to be aware before wasting money. The service was absolutely awful and the staff we encountered were extremely moody. I was given a chipped glass which has cut my lip as I didn’t notice until it was too late. We went for the carvery but when we arrived we were told they didn’t have any, received no apology. We didn’t have any food in the end as in our opinion all the other food is awful. Also bumped into another couple who were desperately trying to find a staff member as there just seemed to be none around. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you want a pleasant time.

Best mixed grill I've had. All the meats were juicy and not overcooked like many other places. The steak was med/rare and had the lovely juicy red meat inside, melted in the mouth. Everything on the plate tasted wonderful.
I am very critical about my food and complain when it's not right at £15 this was great value for money and far better than some of the top restaurants I've eaten in.

We both had the special offer of 2 courses for £13.99. Delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings and chicken liver and brandy pate with slice of brown bloomer bread toasted and balsamic onion confit for starters. Great service and food came out hot and arrived quickly. Would definitely recommend for good value!

Food....average. Main course of a beef Wellington was OK but the pudding was a strange concoction of a chocolate dome with ice cream, but custard to pour over it. Didn't really go together.

Atmosphere...not the best. Lots of kids running around all over the place with their being a play area joined on to the restaurant.

Service....zero stars. Absolute shambles. Only 2 people behind the bar/serving. Main course took an age to come out, then the pudding even longer, as well as our dirty Main course plates remaining on the table not being collected.
