Great staff and that all I can say really the food was below average and hygiene was a issue wouldn’t recommend to everyone

Would have given 5 stars but the portion size was a little shy on the fries and meat, the gammon was 20% fat, they didn't have bbq sauce it had run out, didn't want to give me more pepper corn as a substitute. I asked for well done steak, it was still quite red. On the plus side, they found me a table even though I hadn't booked and it was busy. The staff were all brilliant. The meal on the menu looked amazing, it is called the smothered platter. Apart from the portion size it was a tasty meal.

The staff were really friendly and welcome. The service was excellent. The food was really nice. The food was really good value for money. The location was really clean.

As we have a weekend caravan a mile up the road from Cottams Field we do tend to dine there every Thursday... The food and service is very good. Especially the staff who are very friendly, helpful and understanding.... If you have never been you must try it. There is no better value for money..

AVOID BREAKFAST!
Came into this place for breakfast as soon as I walked in the young girl said ‘come to the till’ so we did & payed for breakfast, didn’t tell us how they operated like where the hot food was if they'd come take our order etc… as I thought it was on buffet style but there was no hot food anywhere. We then found the continental which was nice but ran out of a few items like coffee machine wasn’t working, no Nutella, no small plates etc…
We then asked the young girl how do we get our hot food she said ‘we’ll come take your order soon’ 2 minutes later the manager came over to take our order. 5 minutes later the manager brang our food out, I was shocked that a chef / manager could think it was acceptable to bring out eggs like that!! 🤢🤮.
Not only that but the continental what we had EATEN beforehand the manager couldn’t even be bothered to take away the dirty plates!! He just pushed them over and left them so the hole time we sat there with dirty places In front of us while we’re trying to eat our hot food.
- Back to the hot breakfast , it was just disgusting every mouthful we took but I didn’t fancy wasting £20. After this food my stomach was turning all day so I honestly wouldn’t advise here. Go somewhere like mc Donald’s for breakfast. Its round the corner and a lot tastier as well as cheaper !! 💵 I couldn’t eat anymore apart from the beans, bacon & tomatoes so we decided to leave, the young girl looked at us didn’t even ask us how the breakfast was or say thank you , have a nice day etc, you know the general communication your supposed to have with your customers. We’d never come back here, from start to finish I just found the manager & young girl quite rude as they clearly don’t care about how the food is presented, or how they speak to customers.
- We’ve been here a couple of times to see if they got any better but never again!! seems as if it’s just got worse & worse 😷

Second visit and mainly because they have a wonderful play area that entertains the kids for hours. On both occasions the food has been great and quickly delivered. Staff more than efficient, but had a better understanding of how it works this time around. It’s as bit of a mix between a restaurant and a order yourself type pub. Was going to add nice photos but we were hungry and tucked in like piranha’s. So only an empty plate left. Our steak 🥩 was cooked medium rare just as ordered, Turkey 🦃 was a little dry, but the gravy fixed that proper. Kids meals were standard and plain but nothing goes to waste and it’s just as the kids prefer their meals.

The food was excellent my steak perfectly cooked. We all had a lovely lunch no complaints, service and price of meal reasonable. The place was quite busy

Great meal for 9 people. I had a 2 course xmas meal mains was Turkey dinner it was a good sized portion and with plenty of trimmings. I then had the kit kat chocolate orange Sundae 🍨. My wife had Beef Wellington and Chocolate Orange profiteroles the portion was great also. Kids all had 3 courses.
