Great service & choice of foods, but found foods went cold quickly, for what little I had

I took my child there to attend another child's birthday party. The children seemed to be having a good time. I bought a coffee refill and it was a good bargain I'd say. £2.89 for endless go's at the coffee dispenser machine. The birthday package seemed to have come with meals for the children plus they have a small but fun-looking soft play area next to the party room.

My family eat here relatively often and find it to be good value for money. The staff are always helpful and accommodating and the atmosphere is often pleasant. One thing that really put us off on our latest visit was when the Supervisor/Manager (Elaine) came over to our table and badmouthed another member of staff. The girl in question had come over to our table just before we had all finished eating and asked to clear the plates, to which we politely said that we're not quite done. She apologised and rushed back off. When Elaine came to clear our table a few minutes later, she said sorry about her I had to get her doing something instead of just standing around the kitchen. Or something to that affect. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing for our party and ultimately disrespectful to her colleague. Staff "standing around" is a reflection of poor leadership and so is badmouthing them to customers. Very unprofessional and rude. Food was nice though.

Really nice food and drink here. Nice selection of vegetables on the carvery, tasty well cooked meats. The rest of the menu is hearty pub food that you can never go wrong with. Thoroughly recommend the breakfast with refill drinks.
Booking is recommended on Sundays should you want the carvery.

I was very impressed with our meal here last week. We had a starter and a main off the Xmas menu ( prawn cocktail and a turkey main ) there was an ample amount of food and we had an offer BOGOF so for 2 of us it cost just over 20 pounds with 2 drinks so superb value in a time when prices seem to be hitting the roof!

Bit of an embarassment really, no chips, no onion rings, no coleslaw and a list of other things that are unavailable. Chicken was dry, burger was overcooked and the "salad" was a joke. Nice interior though

Lovely pub and food exceeded expectations. Staff lovely but I have only given three stars as my meal was missing a side and no explanation was given when served. After asking we were told they had ran out and that was why one lettuce leaf and two slices of tomato were added to my plate. I don't personally think this was very good.

Went with a party of 16 for Christmas Day Dinner. Table booked for 12 o’clock with the puddings being served at 3:15pm having had to chase them up. At 12:10pm we was told starters would be five minutes, they came at 12:50pm. Side orders for main course was delivered when everyone had finished despite being told they was on the way. Food was awful and the serving area was disgusting never cleaned from inevitable spillages. Not once did anyone come round to ask if everything was okay. Never again.
