Pentrebach House Table Table

We were very well looked after by Liza, the twins and the rest of the fantastic staff at the Pentrebach on Friday night. They even joined in with our conker tournament. Great evening meal and slap up breakfast. Thanks you very much

Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Wide selection on the menu. Friendly staff. My only issue was that neither of the two sweets I'd had my eye on were available

Wonderfully friendly and efficient service, well-trained staff - as we arrived we were asked if any of our party had allergies, an allergy menu provided and help offered. Immediately offered drinks. Very friendly waiting staff but not intrusive. The (gluten free) sweet potato curry was very good and came with (safe) poppadoms and I greedily ordered chips too. A treat to have safe chips when you're coeliac. The same excellent service and care taken with food at breakfast. Recommended.

We went here once last year but it stuck with me because it sucked. We sat outside in summer 2021, and chose a picnic bench that evidently was broken somewhere, because it tipped when we sat down, which is obviously quite dangerous.

We moved to another table which thankfully was not falling apart as badly, but which did need to be cleared and wiped as it was sticky and there was spilled food on it. The waitress took the glasses etc, but told us they don't clean the outdoor tables. We also told her about the other broken picnic bench, she apologised but the table was left in use.

We wanted to leave at that point but had already ordered food via the app, so stayed for the meal. The food was poor quality and we left hungry.

Vegan xmas dinner was lovely but unfortunately both pre ordered vegan side and dessert were brought out and clearly not vegan. Was refunded but took about 30 mins to resolve. Lovely restaurant though clean and decor was really cosy.

Dined here on a Sunday. Wasn't too busy at 12.30 my partner had the Sunday roast which he said was beautiful but only warm not hot. I had the burger which was stunning. Very fast service and reasonably priced. Would definitely come here again.

Sadly a bit of a festive flop from the festive menu. Vegetables desperately overcooked, Yorkshire pudding cold/ still frozen inside. Staff were wonderful though, couldn't fault the service, however food (traditional turkey dinner) was disappointing.

This year was the 2nd time we had visited for Christmas Lunch.
Great food and portions.
Very grateful for the staff working on Christmas day for other people.
