We took the children for breakfast and it was fabulous it's a buffet all you can eat breakfast it's £9.50 each with a full English and £7.50 for continental and an extra bonus the children ate free which we didn't realise until we ordered , food was fabulous full English was spit on there's a massive choice to choose from at the continental , Cereals, fruit , muffins , Pancakes, toast, croissants there's a big selection of jams, marmalades, there was Syrup , honey and marmite also there's a selection of juices apple, orange , cranberry , also a good selection of coffees , tea and hot chocolate, the staff were absolutely amazing so friendly and helpful they worked so hard making sure everything was OK and that all food was topped up I highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

Food was mostly ok, I had a nicely cooked steak for dinner, but breakfast was served with lukewarm beans. Main problem I found was with all the waiting. Long wait to get seated, long wait at the bar to get served, long wait for the food to arrive. The staff were great, friendly, attentive, but I suspect they need mor people. Not sure I'd go again.

Visited here because of staying in the Premier Inn Hotel, have now noticed that if you book a meal deal with Premier Inn, the meal is smaller than the meal you would get if you didn't have the meal deal and sometimes you have to pay extra to compensate as they cannot reduce an 8 ounce steak.
So maybe the meal deal is not the cheap way to go after all??
Last 2 Premier Inn 's we visited the adjoining pub has not had any Doom Bar bitter (one said they don't sell enough to warrant it and the other quoted that the barrel was empty but could not put the new one on.
What's going on in these pubs? Do they not want to sell bitter these days??

Service varies every time we visit, one week it's great, the next not so. Menu has a good selection, and a tidy kids menu which keeps my rug rats happy.

Service is beyond slow, staff walk past at bar with no apologies I'll be with you now. The venue was not busy plenty of staff stood round talking without trying to serve. It has been a while since visiting as previous visits also had poor service and food can only say it will be much longer before we return if ever.

Had beer battered fish for lunch, batter was too hard for me, fish flesh was dry.
For dinner I had gammon egg pineapple and chips, the rind was inedible in my opinion the Gammon was not cooked, it was curled up and not flat and so no griddle marks on one side, won't have any more mains during our stay, on the plus side the sweet was amazing
