The Fireplace

Although I had a beautiful Victorian style fire and surround fitted 4 years ago I can only say that the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Despite being informed that yearly servicing would be available, and my constant calls and visits to the shop, my requests have never been answered and sadly I expect any warranty has now expired! As this is a gas fire I feel this is potentially dangerous so was unable to enjoy my fire over Christmas while I waited in vain for a response and will now wait til next winter and ask someone elose to check it!! I would Never recommend this company!

This is the second fireplace we have had from the store, both are great and fitted with much attention to detail and in such a way that they do not make any mess. Also this time we had a wood burning stove fitted as well which is great, looking forward to next winter already.

Cant understand the 2 poor reviews on here . I approached the fire place regarding a fire I was interested in buying and also fitting . The man I spoke to "Graham" was particularly good .His knowledge and experience of his trade were second to none . The company then went on to Desing a complete flue system (as I didn't have a chimney ) and installed the most beautiful fire place that I've ever seen . The work and craftsmanship is impecible from these guys .unbelievably clean !!! The whole job from start to finish went extremely well and the finish is outstanding . Would definitely recommend these lads ...proper British builders who know there stuff conciatiius, hard working and helpful👍

I have just had a log burner installed by this company and having the chimney breast bricked up by previous owners they had to expose and open up the chimney breast and install a liner. I must say I was extremely happy with the service that I received. When they come to do a survey I was given loads of options to choose from they actually listened to what I wanted and they come back to me quotations to suit my budget. The workmanship they do is second to none and they take the time and care to sheet up everything to keep all the mess to a minimum. I can honestly say that I could not be happier with the work they have done, I would definitely recommend them.

Came in to the shop and they came and inspected our chimney on the same day. The fitting was completed within a week of us ordering. When fitting they were very courteous and contained the mess without of dust sheets. Arrived at 9am and to finish the job didnt leave until 11pm. Our new stove looks amazing and we're very pleased.

First class service, I would recommend 'The Fireplace' Ilford to anyone. Jerry and Graham (the proprietors) are knowledgeable, helpful and meticulous with their work. More importantly, the proprietors have great respect for their customers and demonstrate manners and humility - traits that are few are far between these days. Despite having more local fireplace fitters, we picked 'The Fireplace' Ilford for the reasons described. 'The Fireplace' Ilford delivered on what was promised, within the agreed time frames and at a competitive price. Well done!

I contacted The Fireplace and they passed me to Graham Pell to sort out my gas fire. He found out that the chimney was crumbling into the house. It is now reconstructed and all is working well. I am happy. Graham was helpful in explaining everything to me and my neighbour and minimised disruption in carrying out the work. I have no problem in recommending him.

I cannot rate Graham and his team highly enough! From my first experience of going into the shop, right the way through to having my log burner installed and two chimney’s capped. He was very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I’m thrilled with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. A first class service. Thank you 😀
