Weren't quite sure what to expect, but we were not disappointed. Pleased they mentioned when we booked the table (not that we needed to as it wasn't busy for a Thursday night) that they would be providing plastic knives and forks. We therefore took our own mental ones. Prices very reasonable. Tables well spaced out and we had the pleasure of sitting next to the TV screen which had the sea lapping in and out! Would definitely recommend 👍

We ate at Rothley Fisheries and what a total disappointment. Everything we loved about the place is gone. Still blaming covid, we were told they have only just restarted using real knives and forks... Well, count ourselves lucky then. Such a shame, now its just a takeaway with seats. I ordered regular chips my husband small, I was given a small disposable plate with chips that wouldn't have even filled a cone, yet my husband had a large throwaway plate full of chips with his fish on top. After talking it up so much to the birthday girl we took there, we were embarrassed. Not going back.

Good menu, fresh good size fish, chips perfectly done.
Nearby free parking. Male & female toilets in chip shop, competitive price for decent portion of fish n chips.

Rothley's fisheries were great. We brought our football team after a game. We are a team from Canada and really enjoyed the experience. The service was amazing. The portion of fish and chips were huge. Highly recomend the curry or peas on the side.

I’m a coeliac and very assured that this restaurant is gluten free. The owners are lovely and the food is delicious! They really spoilt me. So good to know I can now have fish and chips whenever I want and not just “on a gluten-free night!” Thank you Team 😊

Popped in for a lunch for four on fish friday. Everything was cooked to perfection with lovely hot chips. The halloumi fritter was something different and delicious! The 3 x large fish we ordered were all deliciously flaky inside with a crispy batter. All served with a smile by the fab staff! My favourite chippy!
