Best Fry

This local chip shop has gone downhill over the last year. They are always short of cod and the excuse is supply but I have never had a problem at any other chip shop in the South of England over the last 6 months. The staff are very friendly and great at their jobs but have a high turnover. I'm led to believe the manager is not a nice person to work for and leads to a lot of staff leaving, such a shame. I will now drive to get fish and chips rather than walk to this badly run establishment.

Picked up a double cheeseburger & chips. Presentation wise great. Chips were nice. Unfortunately the burger was inedible due to how much gristle was in the patties.(literally dozens of bits!) Got tired of picking so many bits out of every mouthful and left most of the burger. 😢
For all future customer, please buy in different burger patties. 🙏

Good quality fish & chips great lunch time offers all cooked fresh as you order. Staff are lovely & and the premises are clean & tidy.

Decided to pop in on driving by to grab some lunch. Decided on two lunch time specials pea fritter/ sausage and chips with a drink £4.99 per deal and an extra sausage well what can I say very disappointed in the quantity of chips, the box it came in they barely covered about a 1/4 of the tray if that , if you want to feel like you have been fed don't bother. Was also asked if wanted salt and vinegar when ordering but had to say again to the young girl can I have salt and vinegar otherwise it wouldn't have happened and let's just say she needs a lesson in sprinkling as it was poured on so also ruined the experience. Maybe I should have just asked for my money back there and then to save on the disappointment, I won't be going back.
