Skippers Fish Bar & Café

Purchased tonight, Monday 13th of June 2022. Worst chips I’ve had in Ashford. They’re hard as rock and completely inedible. Waste of money. Steer clear and try somewhere else.

Ordered two large cod and chips, the fish they sent was more like a small portion. I phoned up to enquire if they had sent the wrong size, but just got argued with that this is "the standard large size" (it isn't, I've eaten at three other fish and chip shops in the local area whos large size cod is much larger and more substantial). On top of being miniscule in size there was no substance to the fish. The fish itself was okay, but certainly nothing special. First time I have been left hungry after a large cod and chips takeaway and felt like I have just wasted £20. Definitely won't order again and the worst in the local area I have tried, do yourself a favour and order from one of the others as you will be left hungry.

Tonight I ordered myself a treat of Scampi & Chip's,as alway's it was cooked as soon as I ordered ,well I have to say ,Tonight was the absolute best Scampi ,I have ever eaten ,large pieces,in crispy breadcrumbs, delicious ,will only.buy my Scampi & Chip's treat from the best fish & Chip shop in Ashford Kent .thankyou Julie 25/08/22

Very nice cod and chips. Fresh cooked so had to wait a bit but worth it. Nice and fresh.
