H & D Fish & Chips

Food a stray dog wouldn't eat!! Stone cold, greasy and very poor quality ingredients on the first attempted delivery. Phoned the shop and they sent it out again for it to be warm and just as shocking in quality second time round! Couldn't eat it and had to order somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy 🤮🤮

Would not recommend. The food was cold and greasy, we were missing parts of our order, the fish was more of a small than a large, which we paid for ...when I called to say the guy just banged on about the price of fish. 20 minutes later - after we finished our food, the remaining of the order arrived.

Great little chip shop and good opening hours too. All well cooked and not dripping in grease. Highly recommend.

Disgusting, ordered battered sausages and 4 come plain, when I called they was not polite at all, they brang some more over but demanded that the ones I had handled they take back, the sausages were grissle mostly and the curry sauce was water, chips were stone cold and hard no salt of vinegar like asked, all round not happy and will not be ordering from here again

Ordered via UberEats and had it delivered this evening. The food was appalling I’ve never tasted food that bad. The chips were soggy and didn’t even taste like they were cooked properly. The battered sausage didn’t look battered it had a smooth coating of flour around it. The pineapple fritter was the same as the battered sausage. The onion rings go and even crispy they were soggy as well. The only thing that tasted any good was the saveloy. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

Oh dear!!! First and last time here I’m afraid. My partner has allergies and the guy would not or could not advise weather the batter contained eggs. Flatly refused to check the ingredients on his packaging. Looking around the premises we couldn’t see any signage about allergy advise.or hygiene ratings. I’m not sure but isn’t allergy knowledge a legal requirement theses days.

All pretty nasty, undercooked chips and somehow the batter for the fish, burger and sausage was hard as rock and just fell off burger and sausage under was burnt on the outside completely raw on the inside and all wrapped in puddles of grease dripping. This makes prison food look like a michelin star restaurants.
